Paraguay Strengthens its Digital Health capability via the Savics Academy

Over 20 health officials from Paraguay's Health Ministry ( Central de Salud Pública - Paraguay) received comprehensive training in coding languages for digital health systems.
This initiative, conducted in partnership with Savics, aimed to empower healthcare professionals with the skills to leverage technology for improved public health outcomes.
The training program from the Savics Academy, which included both virtual and in-person sessions, focused on practical applications such as:
- Interoperability: Connecting diverse health systems
- Data Integrity: Ensuring accurate and reliable data dissemination
- Secure Data Sharing: Protecting sensitive health information
- API Development: Building interfaces for data exchange

By equipping healthcare workers with these critical skills, Paraguay is poised to enhance its capacity to respond to public health challenges, improve data management, and ultimately deliver better patient care.

DataToCare® Desktop - New Patches Available & Improved Functionality!

New patches for DataToCare® Desktop have just been released and deployed in Cameroon, Morocco, Cambodia, DRC, and Philippines.
These patches enhance a series of exchange functionalities with GeneXpert, specifically with Dx 6.5 test order transmission. In addition, DataToCare now allows to easily check the interface version information with the instruments.

Overall, these updates enhance DataToCare® Desktop experience and further facilitate the capture and exchange of diagnosis data.

DataToCare is a connectivity platform providing faster access to laboratory results. It captures test results in remote sites in a standard way, displays the gathered results on a national dashboard, and sends the results to physicians in real-time.

Successful TB Program Training in Guinea

Last month, Savics team delivered a 4-days field support and training over DataToCare, to the National Tuberculosis Program staff in Guinea, under the supervision of the Health Ministry and Plan International Guinea.
Such training is part of DataToCare implementation process, by which we ensure the digital connectivity of laboratories equipped with GeneXpert instruments. It was a rewarding experience for all participants, who received well-deserved certificates upon completion of the session.
We are incredibly grateful to all the partners who made this impactful training possible and of course our team remains committed to providing ongoing support as needed.

Did you know?...

While DataToCare software is dominantly used for automated connectivity with GeneXpert instruments, this is not the only supported device : Savics is pleased to work with HUMAN Diagnostics Worldwide and support their TB-Lamp device.

DataToCare is available as a mobile app to record the patient data, include TB-Lamp result and send the results in the country database, thereby ensuring professional management of TB diagnosis even in remote areas.

Field mission is sometimes a crazy adventure !

Since a couple of days, a huge fire is seriously affecting fuel distribution in Guinea.

Despite this very unfortunate (and obviously unexpected) contingency, our team continues to visit TB diagnosis laboratories across the country, and install connectivity platform. Our expert Lahcen H may rely on the support and inventiveness of Plan International team which supervises the project, to overcome the issues and deliver as foreseen.
