All good things come to an end and so has our amazing Roadshow. Our two buses (and our EURAXESS promoters) have travelled in 16 different and 34 cities all over . From East to West we had the chance to meet so many incredibly motivated and , who came over to learn more about the the EURAXESS platform has to offer for their future.

We worked hard to make sure everybody would make the most out of it, and we hope you did. Thus, we would like to thank you all for taking a bit of your time to come and see us and make this Roadshow a !

“My name is Mamo, I am 29, and I am from . I am a researcher, I specialize in neurophysiology. I have to say I did not know about before, but I might use it in my in the future. You can be easily guided with the way it's designed and you can easily find what you need on the website. That is nice because I am looking for opportunities in speaking countries, although I would not want to live there my entire life. I would really like to go to an English speaking country because it is easier to integrate when other people speak your language, and obviously because of all the connections you can make with communities from different backgrounds”.

This is Mohammed, from Algeria. He’s a PhD student in , and he didn’t know about before Friday.
“I just found out about it today. It will be helpful for me in the future, when I will finish my PhD and have to look for a job abroad. I am planning to go to either or , I think here are a lot of advantages when moving abroad for work: you get to learn a new language, you get the possibility to find a better job with a higher salary, and have a better quality of life. Obviously that would improve my research skills as well. It’s also very good to be a part of a new scientific community and make new contacts. Maybe the language will be a problem, or it could be hard to find a new accommodation, or you may miss your friends, but that is part of the experience”.

Ahmet is from and he is a Membrane Engineer.
“I knew before; after my , I was looking for a research position and found this website, but I had to get used to it by myself. It's well organized, the opportunities are very clearly explained, and every information you may want on the job is included. I'm planning to do a post doctorate outside … I do not know where yet… Maybe in the US, or , or . Doing research in a foreign country is important for me, to broaden my perspective, to learn new culture and languages and also to create a network between colleagues for future collaborations”.

Babak is a researcher in Environmental Engineering, he is from Iran and he already knew :
“Yes, I knew EURAXESS before. One of my friends recommended it to me to find a position. It's a really useful tool for students in to move abroad and outside Europe. Personally, I'm planning to go to another country… Preferably the US, but I wouldn’t mind another European country where English is spoken fluently”.
