Invitation to join the Sit and Serve Period:
24th April to 13th May 2025
Dear all,
Dhamma Pajjota depends on old student volunteers like you to keep the centre in top form. A few times each year, at moments when no courses are planned, teams of old students join together to execute a variety of tasks, combining the work with meditation. You are warmly invited to join.
Spring is in the air!
If you prefer to work outdoors, there are plenty of tasks that need to be done in the garden, such as maintaining the male and female walking areas, clearing up the flower beds, planting flowers in the flower boxes and flower beds, pruning trees and bushes, removing weeds, mowing the lawns, etc.
Do you prefer working indoors?
Then you can join the Household group. There will be a big spring cleaning in some of the buildings, e.g. the meditation hall, student accommodations and dining hall by removing dust and cobwebs. Further, deep cleaning of shower tiles; extra nourishing of the floor in female accommodation; cleaning windows inside and outside and mosquito screens; washing the bedding and meditation materials; etc
Or maybe you can help in the kitchen, preparing meals for all the servers on site?
Join for whatever amount of time you can spare, for one, two, three or more days, or even for a few hours.
Along with the service you will be giving, you will take part in regular group meditation sessions, and you can watch inspirational Dhamma videos in the evening.
This is an opportunity to grow in Dhamma while making a hands-on contribution to the centre.
In parallel to the sit & serve period, there will be a course for girls taking place from May 2nd to May 4th. If you would be interested in serving on the children's course, please register separately (see bottom of the course's calendar)
