✅ Yesterday our members voted in favor of a merger with MEDVIA — an overwhelming 98% approval from 124 present or represented effective members! This follows the 96% majority vote among MEDVIA’s members in January.
⛙ Over the next few days and months, we will further finalize this powerful merger to officially create one, new organization. 🔥 With a united voice, we will represent the entire and ecosystem on the regional, federal and European stage. How cool is that?
Dirk Reyn, Chairman of the Board: “By joining forces, we are building a more efficient organization that will represent the entire sector with one voice. By bringing together all the players that have an impact on our health, we can also respond much better to the global challenges we face, and create more opportunities for our companies.”
Patrik De Haes, CEO, continues: “Flanders has a strong biotech ecosystem. The merger with the healthtech cluster will undoubtedly create unique synergies. I see supporting the start-ups that emerge from this as one of the essential tasks of the new organization.”
