aining. I'm a student of yoga master Shri Yogi Hari, the founder of Sampoorna Yoga. Furthermore, I studied Yin Yoga and functional anatomy with Paul and Suzee Grilley. I also trained with Marsha Wenig (YogaKids®) and facilitated yoga for children for several years. I live in Belgium, where I co-founded the Sampoorna Yoga Studio Brussels in 2010. I love spending time in nature, breathing fresh air, listening to bird song, the rustling of leaves, and the sounds of mountain rivers. Connecting with nature is at the foundation of my yoga practice. It helps me stay in tune with the core of my being. Things come into focus, questions are answered, and challenges dissolve like clouds on a sunny, windy day.

As usual, this week offers two complementary approaches to support your yoga practice and overall well-being.

Depending on how you feel, or what you might need, you can choose to join either the slow-moving, relaxing Yin Yoga For All class on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm, or the more energizing Hatha Yoga For All class on Saturday morning at 10:00 am.

Yin Yoga is a quiet practice that helps release deep tension, improve flexibility, and calm the nervous system. It's especially helpful if you feel tight, tired, or mentally busy.

Sampoorna Hatha Yoga is a flowing, energizing style refined by Shri Yogi Hari in the Sivananda tradition. It is designed to awaken the body, build strength, flexibility, and stability, and leave you feeling refreshed for the weekend.

Combined, both classes offer a balanced approach to practice.

If at any time you feel the need for more personalized guidance and support, private appointments are also available.

Building a regular yoga practice doesn't need to be complicated.

One or two sessions per week can make a real difference in how you feel, move, and breathe. And, the effect is immediate, even after one class.

On Wednesday evenings, Yin Yoga helps the body unwind and recover from daily stress.

This slow-moving, deep stretching and meditative class targets the connective tissue (fascia) of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, to improve energy circulation. Yin Yoga is a great complement to a more dynamic Hatha Yoga practice.

On Saturday mornings, our flowing Sampoorna Hatha Yoga class (in the Sivananda tradition) builds strength, balance, and energy.

This class includes breathing exercises, warming-up and strengthening exercises, yoga postures, and a deep final relaxation.

Beginners are most welcome in both classes.

I’ll be guiding a 1-hour online Yin Yoga class tonight at 7:00 PM. We'll be practicing letting go, and trusting the process, through poses targeting the hips and pelvic area.

Yin Yoga is a slow, and quiet yoga practice that targets the deeper layers of the body — fascia (connective tissue), ligaments, tendons — through longer-held, supported poses. It helps improve flexibility, release chronic tension, and calm the nervous system.

Many people find that Yin Yoga not only reduces physical stiffness, but also creates a sense of mental space and emotional balance. In this fast-paced world, it offers a precious opportunity to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with oneself.
