Thank you all for the large amount of new orders. I'm fully aware of the fact that you all want to be fully equipped for the new reenactment season. But due to this fact, the handling time is raised to approx 5-6 months. But... this is only applicable on out of stock items or bespoke items, everything in stock on my site can still be shipped (almost) directly,

Good afternoon everyone, as some of you already know, I recently finished some renovation works at my home. This means I'm picking up work again, and especially the big amount of backorders. Thanks for understanding!

On May 10, 1940, Germany invaded Belgium. At that time, the Belgian army was at his greatest but still underarmed.
What needed to be a passing through in days, became a battle of a baffling 18 days which was not expected by Germany. On May 28, our former king Leopold III signed a cease fire and the Belgian army surrendered. A lot of these soldiers were captured and sent to prison camps never to return home again, or to be scarred for life.
This was nor the end but the beginning of a long exhausting period.

Hi all,

here's a little update, as most of you are aware (and some of you aren't.) Combining two jobs is quite challenging, and it's even harder while climbing up the ladder. If this isn't challenging enough, as of March, I gained a 'new job' being a proud dad.
This means that all of my spare time has diminished greatly.

So, for the greater good and especially for my mental health; I have decided to minimize projects for at least till the end of this year. Maybe I will start again next year on bigger projects, but till then, my main focus will be on finishing existing orders and offcourse my site which will be updated on a weekly/monthly base with ABBL items (and maybe Dutch army in the future).

This post was made possible thanks to . She did some lead testing on some original military material. I was also amazed that some items would contain lead. So, went and tested all Belgian items which could be used for rating/drinking. The result is that all WWI and WWII hear the Belgians used is safe from lead. Older items, prior to 1900, which were not made out of aluminium is not safe. Also items for shaving, a bowl, could contain lead. Also be careful with old eating utensils (example Silver) as these did test directly positive and in high amount! Hope this helps! Stay safe and always be sure to clean them thoroughly.

PS; currently in maternal leave so, items which are not in stock will take a lot of extra time.

Been a while since I posted something on social media, so need to make up for that! Here you can find some restorations I did in the past couple of months.

* UPDATE- Check out the updated site with Belgian items *

- A world war II Belgian work-trousers which had quite big holes.
- A Mod 28 Belgian vest which had some moth holes
- Adding insignia on the original Belgian officers vest
- A completely torn up Belgian canteen cover
- Some Belgian gaiters which needed new straps as the old ones were torn apart
- Some bags which needed new straps, as they were too old.
- A belt which had fake leather and now received real leather
- Last but not least, another Pickelhaube restored as the leather was loose.

Please keep in mind that following period will be quite hectic for me. You can always contact me, but it will take several months for orders to be completed, thanks for understanding!
