With a truly international membership, the BCT is a great place to make friends for you and your children. BCT is Belgium’s leading source of pregnancy and parenting information in English. We have provided prenatal and postnatal support to (expectant) parents since 1978. We are member based. We are the largest International family community in Belgium with members from over 70 countries. This is

the official BCT page. BCT is an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organization that provides help, support, and friendship to expectant parents and families in Belgium. Our services cover pregnancy information and prenatal courses facilitated by certified antenatal teachers and peer-to-peer postnatal support. We also organize year round events and activities where our members can socialize, share ideas and concerns, and make friends. Our courses, services, and events are an invaluable resource for English speaking families and parents-to-be, in the greater Brussels area. We also provide continued support throughout their wonderful journey of parenthood. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who are all members and parents themselves. They are hosting playgroups most days of the week at our beautiful Clubhouse in Ixelles. They are also organising regular meet-ups and play dates in various local neighbourhoods in Brussels and beyond. They are providing information, peer-to-peer support such as our babywearing service, cloth nappy information or sling library, and encouragement by phone and email, as well as they organise our free Members’ library with about hundred selected books on pregnancy, child development and parenting plus a range of children books.

We've got a pretty wonderful POSTNATAL SUPPORT day coming up!

Camila will start the day with her amazing BABYWEARING workshop and sling library rental. The workshop is aimed at parents-to-be, beginners or early advanced babywearing parents.
Next is Claire who will provide insights into the world of CLOTH NAPPIES. Think models, systems and the so important practical aspects of using them here in Belgium.
Last but definitely not least is Jane who is welcoming new and not so new parents for a cuppa and a chat and to answer any breastfeeding related questions at our monthly BREASTFEEDING CAFÉ.

Preparation for childbirth & parenthood can form friendships for life!

Our next Birth & Parenting in-person course for parents with babies due in August and September starts on 4 June (last session 25 June). It consists of 7 sessions, 17 hours, takes place in the Tervuren area and are wonderful to build a support network for yourself and your family.

Our next (free!) gathering specifically for new mums (Chat & Talk) with BCT Early Day Supporter Jo is on Wednesday, 27 May AM @ The Clubhouse in Ixelles.

This is a wonderful opportunity to have a chat and a cuppa amongst new mums - and Jo will talk about emotional wellbeing in early motherhood💚

Look, we've received an upgrade for the Clubhouse play kitchen!
