With a truly international membership, the BCT is a great place to make friends for you and your children. BCT is Belgium’s leading source of pregnancy and parenting information in English. We have provided prenatal and postnatal support to (expectant) parents since 1978. We are member based. We are the largest International family community in Belgium with members from over 70 countries. This is

the official BCT page. BCT is an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organization that provides help, support, and friendship to expectant parents and families in Belgium. Our services cover pregnancy information and prenatal courses facilitated by certified antenatal teachers and peer-to-peer postnatal support. We also organize year round events and activities where our members can socialize, share ideas and concerns, and make friends. Our courses, services, and events are an invaluable resource for English speaking families and parents-to-be, in the greater Brussels area. We also provide continued support throughout their wonderful journey of parenthood. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who are all members and parents themselves. They are hosting playgroups most days of the week at our beautiful Clubhouse in Ixelles. They are also organising regular meet-ups and play dates in various local neighbourhoods in Brussels and beyond. They are providing information, peer-to-peer support such as our babywearing service, cloth nappy information or sling library, and encouragement by phone and email, as well as they organise our free Members’ library with about hundred selected books on pregnancy, child development and parenting plus a range of children books.

This is one of our prenatal courses: A small group of parents-to-be getting together for a park meet-up. How lovely is that! When this is happening you know that you're in the right place!

No summer without spending time in the water! But did you know how important is it to not only think of swim vests etc but also how visible we are in the water? And what a difference it makes what colour you wear whether you're in a lake, a pool or the sea?

Whether it's prams, buggies, high chairs, even baby beds or baths, ride-on toys, bikes, car seats, play mats, wraps and slings, sterilizers, sleep bags, all kind of toys as well as clothes and dress up costumes and so MUCH MORE, this is a great opportunity for parents to kit out their children at bargain prices!

The BCT sells items from pre-registered sellers in a pop-up style shop. This saves time for sellers, it's budget friendly for buyers, environmentally friendly for all, it's a HUGE community effort as staged 100% by volunteers AND supports the BCT with much needed funds. EVERYONE is welcome to sell, buy and help!

"Having a new baby is a big change. Depending on family dynamics and how much older the sibling(s) are, it might be easier or more difficult to survive the change. Still, integrating him with older siblings will involve some chaos, misunderstandings and big emotions including anger. If you accept and you are all right with this, it is already a big step forward!"

Are you ready for cuteness overload?
A celebration of babies and their proud new parents, with happy BCT prenatal teacher Nina, at a prenatal course reunion at our Clubhouse in Ixelles!

The reunion is officially the last part of our prenatal courses which goes way into the early days stage as our support for parents and families continues long after the baby has arrived, with postnatal support services and groups, family events and lots of socialising opportunities at our Clubhouse and in our many neighbourhood groups in and around Brussels.
