Engaging the left and the right side of my brain during this post traumatic septorhinoplasty of a young man who trusted me with his nose. With highly variable, not compliant anatomy, the dual role of restoring breathing & shape and an unpredictable scar contracture, rhinoplasty remains the most complex and delicate part of facial plastic surgery.

Today we were interviewing 15 candidates for the new fellowship positions of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery A mixture of ENT surgeons and general plastic surgeons who have an interest in developing skills in face and neck surgery. We were delighted to see so much passion and motivation and as a result very optimistic for the future of EAFPS. Well done to everyone who took part in the process.
