The headstand bench is an effective tool that helps to activate the deeper muscles in and around the spine.
These small deeper muscles are called the postural muscles.
But what is the function and importance of these postural muscles?
The postural muscles run from the pelvis to the skull and maintain the correct position of the spine. These small deep muscles stabilise our body posture. In this way we can stand, sit, walk and move for a long time without getting tired. These muscles have great endurance and need little oxygen to continue to function optimally.
Due to an incorrect position of the vertebrae, musclenodules, tension, fall or trauma, it is possible that the postural muscles cannot perform their function anymore. This can cause problems such as muscle pain, fatigue and other complaints.
Help your muscles to maintain their optimal function, so that you can continue to move freely!
