NHV Group NHV is an international helicopter transport services company, specialised in B-to-B aviation service NHV’s main focus is on the oil and gas industry.

The NHV group, based in Ostend Belgium, is specialized in B-to-B helicopter services and has a strong geographic presence in Europe and Western Africa. The group conducts operations out of several bases on the two continents with a team of over 550 employees. The group has a leading position in Europe as the only helicopter operator that conducts operations in every oil producing country in the region. The scope of work also includes: Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), Maritime Services, which include Search and Rescue (SAR), offshore Wind Farms and Harbor Pilot Services. Vertech Offshore and Airlift are two specialized companies within the NHV group who are leaders in their niche of flare tip replacement and power grid construction and maintenance. Aside from the helicopter operations, NHV is an approved training organization (ATO) and an official service center for our partner Airbus Helicopters. The group has a multipurpose high value fleet of 65 helicopters. Since 2012, NHV has ordered 16 helicopters of the state-of-the-art Airbus Helicopters H175 model and is the global launching customer to fly the H175. NHV’s majority shareholder is Ardian, the independent private investment company with assets of US$60bn managed or advised in Europe, North America and Asia.

Did you know that in November 2023, we welcomed the first-ever Leonardo AW169 in West Africa, our TU-HNA, at our base in Abidjan. Dedicated to the memory of our beloved colleague Abdel Kader Diakite, TU-HNA quickly became the pride of our fleet. By March 2024, she was cleared for commercial flights - just in time to welcome her sister aircraft, TU-HNB, in July.

Since then, the AW169 has been raising the bar:
⚡ Powerful engines for safe take-offs and landings, even at max weight
🌤 Reliable performance in Côte d’Ivoire’s heat & humidity
✅ Spacious seating and bigger windows for passenger comfort

And behind the scenes?
We’ve upgraded our entire maintenance setup, including a new European-built hangar with climate control for precision work. Our engineers now have the tools and environment they need to deliver spotless results.

NHV is pleased to announce the contract award with Anasuria Hibiscus UK, flying one of our H175 aircraft out of Aberdeen in support of the Teal West Project.

The first flights were successfully completed on the 10th of September and we will now continue regular operations with weekly flights in the months ahead.

This milestone also represents the first UK well delivery for Anasuria Hibiscus UK Limited.

NHV is honoured to contribute to this achievement!

This year, NHV is proud sponsor of Cycling Club De Kostoos. Last week, they embarked on an ambitious cycling trip to the Alps, where they took on a unique challenge: together, 22 Kostoos climbed the iconic Col d'Izoard, a pass rising above 2,000 meters, a total of 89 times!

Their goal? To raise funds in support of vzw Kleine Held, an organization dedicated to helping premature babies and their families. All donations go directly to the charity, which provides free starter kits to parents of premature or seriously ill newborns, and offers heartfelt photo shoots in neonatal units.

What a day!

On Saturday September 6th, NHV hosted its Family Day at our headquarters in Ostend and it was a fantastic success!

Employees and their families came together to enjoy a fun-filled day packed with: live music, helicopter photo opportunities, bouncy castles, delicious food & drink trucks, kids’ face painting,… and plenty of laughter and connection.
