De meeste patiënten verdragen de ingreep goed. De neus kan wat gevoelig zijn en de bovenlip voelt soms kort na de operatie licht verdoofd aan. Rond dag 2 à 3 piekt de zwelling, wat meestal de minst aangename fase van het herstel is. Na de ingreep draag je meestal 10 tot 14 dagen een neusspalkje en daarna ziet bijna niemand nog dat je geopereerd werd. Het definitieve resultaat laat echter tot een jaar op zich wachten, dus geduld is belangrijk.

Most patients tolerate the procedure well. The nose can feel a bit sensitive, and the upper lip may be slightly numb in the first hours after surgery. Swelling usually peaks around day 2 to 3, which is often the least comfortable stage of recovery. After the procedure, you’ll typically wear a nasal splint for 10 to 14 days, and once it’s removed, most people won’t notice you’ve had surgery. The final result can take up to a year to fully develop, so patience is key.
