Bij een anatomische prothese ligt het punt van maximale projectie onder het midden, met een iets vlakkere bovenkant voor een natuurlijk effect.
Daarnaast kan ook gevarieerd worden in hoogte en breedte van het implantaat.

Bij een ronde prothese zijn hoogte en breedte gelijk en ligt de maximale projectie centraal in de prothese.

Bij een ooglidcorrectie is een correcte analyse van de wenkbrauwpositie essentieel.

De wenkbrauw vormt een afzonderlijke anatomische eenheid en dient daarom ook afzonderlijk beoordeeld en behandeld te worden. Een doorhangende wenkbrauw kan een vertekend beeld geven van het overschot aan ooglidhuid. In sommige gevallen ligt de onderliggende vraag van patiënten zelfs eerder bij de wenkbrauw dan bij het ooglid zelf.

Daarom dient de wenkbrauw eerst in de juiste positie te worden gebracht, alvorens het ooglid te behandelen.

Indien nodig wordt een wenkbrauwlift uitgevoerd vóór of in combinatie met de ooglidcorrectie, om een evenwichtig en duurzaam resultaat te bekomen.
