it is a complementary class that follows the “pranayama & yang” session, that emphasises active, grounding and heat-building movement that awakens strength, focus and presence.

yin yoga is a restorative yoga practice. it invites you to slow down and soften. through long-held, passive poses we target the deeper layers of the body - connective tissue, joints and fascia - allowing deep release and restoration.
we make room for energy to flow through both our physical and energetic body.

with a focus on stillness, breath and awareness, yin creates space in both body and mind.

expression through yoga, expression through life.

in a world and in an era where there couldn’t be more ways to express our opinion, where every opportunity is taken to share thoughts, dreams, frustrations, judgements and hopes.
we find within the loudness of being, a calling to be seen by many, yet a challenge to express deepest vulnerable desires to few.

what is it, that lives beneath the surface of your heart? the tiny little secrets, loving words, brave decisions or requests for needs that we fearfully keep inside to protect ourselves, afraid to get hurt.

what would you want to whisper to your closest friend? what is it you would share with that parent that is near but perhaps feels distant? what is it you would scream from rooftops if nobody could hear you? what is it that you would love to create if you couldn’t fail? what would it feel like if you could express joy in your own peculiar way?

imagine what it could feel like, if you could voice without holding back, without the fear of loss, hurt or judgement? how freely we could move though life.

this is my learning opportunity, trying to explore expression in vulnerable moments, lovingly and bravely. because I believe that by expressing ourselves authentically, lie opportunities for deep and caring connection.

uet, where there is still some fear popping up and when I don’t entirely trust myself, may my honest and imperfect asana practice show me the way.

~ self study. yoga doesn’t have a filter. you cannot hide from yourself when you step onto your mat. it is not there to perform or pretend. it is there to show you truth. how does the experience of a certain asana make you feel? where is your breath today, and what does it show you? which thoughts race through your mind, and can you gently shift your focus onto the now? what prevents you from opening up, what makes you sink down, what cracks you open? it shows you where discomfort lies yet how your heart blossoms. the yoga practice invites you to become a curious observer. if you accept to listen and watch and acknowledge your present being, the world starts moving.

throughout the years in my yoga practice I’ve encountered many versions of myself. lost, defeated, frustrated, impatient, pushy, unsatisfied about my (sometimes rusty and inflexible) exploration of physical asanas, I sometimes tried to stay away from my practice. whenever I returned, it accepted me exactly the way I was. it provided a space where I felt supported and could come home to, unconditionally. what we experience on the mat is a reflection of how we are experiencing life. it has been the most confronting but at the same time loving constant. my mirror, my ocean, my universe. my yoga practice still helps me to become softer, content with where I am. ever flowing, blooming joyfully.

I would feel grateful to guide you through your practice at the most nourishing . to join you as a curious observer, on your path of curiously discovering yourself, just the way you are 🤍

Omdat je soms de weg van de weerstand moet kiezen, eigen paden moet creëren en moedig verder moet gaan… sta ik te popelen om jullie na een lange periode met al mijn liefde opnieuw te begeleiden in een wekelijkse yoga sessie 🪷🫶🏼

✺ Yang: vuur, actief, beweging, snel, warm, zichtbaar, luid, hard, controlerend, licht, de zon.
☾ Yin: donker, traag, koud, passief, verborgen, zacht, aanvaarden, overgave, koppig, de maan.

We brengen balans in onze tegenpolen, door ze allebei bewust op te zoeken en ons fysieke en mentale lichaam uit te dagen. Hierbij nodig ik je uit dicht bij jezelf te blijven en als een nieuwsgierige onderzoeker jezelf te (her)ontdekken. Met al mijn zachtheid en aandacht wil ik je graag in dit proces begeleiden 🤍
