Driving a sustainable future 🪴🌍

We have reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% compared to 2020. This was mainly achieved through switching to renewable and low-carbon energy sources, as well as continuing to implement energy efficiency measures.

Key steps included:
✅ More than 60% of our electricity now comes from renewable sources.
✅ New solar panels in Belgium and the Netherlands doubled our on-site renewable energy production.
✅ Low-carbon fuels, the electrification of our transport fleet and battery-powered cooling systems are helping to reduce transport emissions.

Our roadmap remains aligned with a 1,5°C pathway as we continue to invest in technologies and partnerships that will help to build a more resilient and sustainable food system.

Today, we announced the successful completion of the strategic alliance between Greenyard and Eureden.

This alliance brings together Gelagri Bretagne, the French frozen vegetable activities of Eureden and Greenyard Frozen France, a subsidiary of the Greenyard Group. By combining their production, processing, and commercial capabilities, the new organisation is ideally positioned to strengthen the supply of frozen vegetables of French origin, while reinforcing the economic and agricultural significance of the Brittany region.

Moving forward with sustainability 🌱❄️

Sustainability isn’t a side project at Greenyard, it’s part of how we operate every day. We are therefore delighted to announce that Greenyard Frozen has been awarded a Silver Medal by EcoVadis

With a score of 73/100, Greenyard Frozen now ranks in the top 15% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, and in the top 4% in the fruit and vegetable industry globally. The assessment covers themes such as the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

This recognition reflects our teams' collective efforts to embed responsible practices into daily operations and long-term strategy, working closely with customers, suppliers, and partners to create a positive impact.

This important milestone reinforces our ambition to keep improving. After all, shaping the future of food means making sustainability practical, measurable and integral to everything we do.

Three apples, one jar, and 24 years of craftsmanship!

Have you ever wondered what goes into that smooth, naturally sweet apple compote on the table? At Greenyard Prepared, it all starts close to home, with apples mainly grown in Belgium and the Netherlands.

We use a carefully balanced mix of Golden, Jonagold and other delicious varieties of apple. Around three apples are needed to fill just one 720 ml jar, and each one is checked and prepared with precision and care.

Every step, from washing and slicing to cooking, filling and labelling, is guided by strict quality controls to ensure consistent flavour, safety and freshness. Behind it all is a dedicated team with over 24 years' experience in perfecting this process, bringing craftsmanship and teamwork to every batch.

Each jar of our apple compote tells a pure-plant story of care, expertise, and respect for nature. It's designed to be enjoyed for a healthier future.
