Our colleagues at Greenyard Frozen UK were honoured to be named finalists in the Collaboration and Partnership category at the 2026 Food Excellence Awards.

Being recognised for our partnership with FareShare UK highlights something important: the real impact we create together in reducing food waste and supporting communities across the UK.

This collaboration exemplifies our approach at Greenyard Frozen UK: working closely with partners to prevent good food from going to waste and ensure it reaches those in need. Building a more sustainable and resilient food system requires action, partnership and long-term commitment. This partnership has already made a tangible difference. Together, we have redirected 140 tonnes of food to FareShare, helping to provide over 333 000 meals and supporting more than 1 800 charities across the UK.

Congratulations to all the winners and fellow finalists, and a sincere thank you to FareShare UK and our teams for their dedication to this meaningful collaboration.

Crunchy, veggie-packed and now officially a crowd favourite. 🏆
Our PlanTasty croquettes have won the Public Award at Horecatel

After four inspiring days at the fair, among hundreds of exhibitors, visitors chose our pure-plant croquettes as their favourite because of their taste and quality. A fantastic recognition and a clear signal that the appetite for high-quality pure-plant food continues to grow, and that brands like PlanTasty are able to capitalise on this trend.

A big thank you to everyone who voted for us and visited our stand. Moments like these show how innovation, flavour and vegetables can go hand in hand.

Together, we keep bringing more vegetables to more plates, shaping the future of food.

A pear that changes the game! 🍐✨

What if pears were no longer "just" a fruit, but a crunchy, juicy snack with premium appeal and a longer shelf life?

That's exactly what the Eden Gold pear delivers.

As Maicol Galeati, Managing Director of Greenyard Fresh Italy, explains:
“Eden Gold is reshaping how consumers experience pears. Its crunchiness, juiciness and sweetness make it stand out in terms of taste, while its longer shelf life helps reduce waste at the retail level, a traditional challenge within the category."

Greenyard Fresh Italy currently manages the largest cultivated Eden Gold area in Europe, spanning over 150 hectares, and expansion continues. Around 80 additional hectares will be planted next spring to support the ambition of offering Eden Gold pears for up to nine months of the year with consistent quality throughout the season.

This is a clear example of how Greenyard's approach to innovation in the fruit and vegetable sector can strengthen the category by combining quality, sustainability and consumer appeal, helping to shape the future of pure-plant food.

At Greenyard Frozen UK, colleagues across two sites came together for Culture Fest, a series of high-energy, hands-on sessions that focused on strengthening our Food Safety Culture.

Through interactive games inspired by our packing halls and factory floors, teams experienced realistic scenarios that made learning practical and relatable. Collaboration, healthy competition and positive energy were evident throughout the sessions.

Most importantly, the event provided an opportunity for open and honest conversations about our strengths, particularly in teamwork, and areas for improvement. This is because safeguarding quality and food safety is fundamental to how Greenyard operates, and to how we help shape a trusted, resilient and healthier future for the food industry.

Thank you to everyone who took part and made Culture Fest such a success. Together, we keep raising the standard.

From pioneer to reference: decades of frozen expertise. ❄️🌱

What began in West Flanders as Pinguin, one of the first companies to produce frozen vegetables, has grown to become Greenyard Frozen Flanders, a leading name in the industry.

Since joining the Greenyard family, they have continued their journey with the same ambition: to harness the power of vegetables in a variety of frozen formats. The Pinguin name lives on as one of their in-house brands, alongside Greenyard, Crème de la Crème, Gigi and PlanTasty. Their mission is clear: to make pure plant food accessible, nutritious and delicious.

Today, Greenyard Frozen Flanders operates four specialised production sites:
- Westrozebeke and Comines, focusing on fruit, vegetables, soups and sauces
- Langemark, our convenience hub for ready-to-heat meals
- Hasselt, specialising in pure-plant gelato production

What truly sets them apart? Customisation. Every project begins with the needs of customers and consumers in mind, resulting in recipes developed in-house in close collaboration with our chefs and our partners. Greenyard Frozen Flanders delivers tailor-made solutions that respond to evolving market demands, from development to production and packaging.

With decades of experience and more than 650 passionate colleagues, they are continuing to build our story together and shape the future of pure-plant frozen food.

Building long-term value with a renewed strategic focus.
In a recent interview with AGF and freshplaza, our CEO, Francis Kint, CFO, Charles-Henri Deprez, and Daniel Sachs from Solum Partners, shared their perspective on Greenyard’s next chapter following the delisting in September 2025. This carefully considered step marked a new chapter focusing on long-term value creation, strategic freedom, and operational focus.

In the interview, CEO Francis Kint, CFO Charles-Henri Deprez and Daniel Sachs of Solum Partners share the rationale behind the decision, reflect on the transition process, and outline Greenyard’s ambitions for strengthening its integrated model and further sustainable growth.

Our ambition remains clear: fruit and vegetables are the most powerful food category with which to address today's health and climate challenges. By working closely across the value chain and speaking with one voice as an industry, we can increase consumption and unlock the full potential of pure-plant food.

150 years of entrepreneurship and decades of strong partnership.

Greenyard Prepared colleagues celebrated the 150th anniversary of Paulig, one of their largest convenience customers.

Founded in 1876, the company initially focused on coffee before expanding into spices under the renowned Santa Maria brand. This expansion helped to shape the Tex-Mex category across Europe.

Since the late 1990s, Greenyard Prepared and Paulig have collaborated to develop the dips market in Europe. What started as a close collaboration has grown into a resilient, long-term partnership based on trust, innovation, and shared ambition.

Together, we continue to deliver flavourful solutions that respond to evolving consumer needs and help shape the future of food.

Here’s to many more milestones ahead! 💚

On 15 February, Greenyard participated in the Fuel the Runner event, organised by ProVeg International and Tessa Avermaete (Run & Harvest), which explored the link between pure-plant nutrition and athletic performance at the University of Leuven.

For us, this event was about much more than just running. It was a valuable opportunity to reinforce our mission of making lives healthier by encouraging the consumption of fruit and vegetables throughout the day. After all, strong performances, in sport and in life, start with what’s on your plate.

During the lunch break, we hosted a stand featuring Gigi, our pure-plant gelato made from fruit and vegetables. Participants had the opportunity to discover our products firsthand, connecting directly with a community that values food transparency, innovation, and evidence-based nutrition.

And let's just say... they didn't stay in the freezer for long! They sold out in no time, which is a sweet reminder that pure-plant indulgence and performance can go hand in hand.

By collaborating with experts such as Tessa Avermaete, who specialises in the intersection of agricultural economics, sport and healthy consumption, we remain closely connected to evolving dietary trends and the latest scientific insights that are shaping the future of food.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an energising and insightful day. It was a reminder that smart nutrition starts with the basics: eating plenty of fruit and vegetables to boost performance and protect health in the long term. Together, we continue to fuel performance the pure-plant way.

Driving a sustainable future 🪴🌍

We have reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% compared to 2020. This was mainly achieved through switching to renewable and low-carbon energy sources, as well as continuing to implement energy efficiency measures.

Key steps included:
✅ More than 60% of our electricity now comes from renewable sources.
✅ New solar panels in Belgium and the Netherlands doubled our on-site renewable energy production.
✅ Low-carbon fuels, the electrification of our transport fleet and battery-powered cooling systems are helping to reduce transport emissions.

Our roadmap remains aligned with a 1,5°C pathway as we continue to invest in technologies and partnerships that will help to build a more resilient and sustainable food system.
