🌀 Meet Patrick Decraen – Team Leader / Asian Tradition 🇧🇪

Patrick is the manager of Synergie Zen, a wellness and massage center based in Brussels — and the heart behind the Belgian team.

As a certified Shiatsu therapist, his approach is rooted in the energetic wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, enriched by years of experience in a wide range of techniques: Lomi Lomi, Balinese massage, Chi Nei Tsang, wellness treatments, and prenatal care.

What defines Patrick’s work is a deep sense of presence, a quiet precision, and a true respect for the human being — body, mind, and spirit. He sees massage not just as a technique, but as a path to reconnection and balance.

Trained in Therapeutic Shiatsu (UFPST) and an active member of the Belgian Shiatsu Federation, Patrick brings an authentic and centered energy to every session. His specialty in Asian Tradition reflects a continuous search for harmony — both within and around.

His participation in international massage championships has been marked by several distinctions, including:

👩‍⚖️ Meet Violeta Munteanu – Official Judge 🇧🇪

Violeta is a leading figure in the world of therapeutic and wellness massage. Originally from Romania and based in Belgium since 2011, her journey spans over 20 years of dedication, excellence, and innovation in bodywork.

Founder of Violet Effect, located on the peaceful grounds of Ter Ham Castle, Violeta has developed signature massage protocols that have earned international recognition. Her approach is rooted in depth, presence, and high-level expertise — from deep tissue and Swedish massage to Reiki and myofascial work.

Her talents have taken her into the most prestigious wellness spaces, including Four Seasons Geneva, Bvlgari Paris, and Borgo Egnazia Italy, where she has trained professionals and consulted on advanced techniques.

In 2017, she became World Champion in the Wellness Massage category at the World Massage Championship in Copenhagen — a turning point that marked her entry into the global elite of massage therapy.

Since then, Violeta has served as an official judge for the International Massage Association (IMA), offering her insight and guidance at competitions in Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Thailand, Iran, Japan, and beyond.

🌿 Meet Elise Rousse – Ayurvedic Category 🇧🇪

Based in Brussels, Elise brings a soulful and grounded presence to the art of massage. Her journey into Ayurveda began in 2017 during a yoga teacher training, and since then, it has become the heart of her practice.

Trained in Abhyanga, marmatherapy, kansu massage, Ayurvedic lymphatic techniques and prenatal massage, Elise now also teaches at the Yoga & Ayurveda Health Institute (YAH) in Belgium, under the guidance of John Marchand.

Her treatments take place on a futon, in close connection with the earth — offering grounding, flow, and presence. For Elise, massage is not just a technique. It’s a dialogue through touch, guided by intuition, breath, and deep listening.

She also integrates sound therapy into some sessions, using Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, or gongs to support the nervous system and invite energetic harmony.

This is Elise’s very first time representing Belgium at an international championship — and we’re proud to walk this path with her. 💛

Wim is a truly unique presence in the world of massage. As the founder and creator of ZenChair Bodywork, he has developed an approach that blends natural movement, therapeutic flow, and energetic presence — all guided by years of exploration and deep listening.
