Building-up to the 23rd AHM in Accra, were a series of parallel technical meetings held from 9 to 12 May 2022. They were the meeting of WAHO Liaison Officers, Health Experts meeting, Research Dissemination Meeting, Ministerial Forum of the Sahel Malaria Elimination Initiative (SAME), Forum of Health Partners, and the High-Level meeting with the Vaccines Manufacturers in the ECOWAS region in Collaboration with Africa CDC.

The 23rd Ordinary Meeting of The ECOWAS Assembly of Health Ministers (AHM), held in Accra, Ghana on 13 May 2022, provided a great opportunity once again for the ECOWAS Member States, Partners, CSOs and the Community to come together to ensure that the health needs of over 400 million citizens of the West African region are continuously improved.

The main event was preceded by a series of technical meetings and discussions including meetings on the increase of evidence-based practice through research, increase of local production of vaccines and pharmacovigilance in the region, push for malaria elimination in the region, and a meeting of the Health Experts!
