We are thrilled to announce a talk on a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery, happening on Monday 6th of December at 8:00pm (EET) by Miss Zarina Shaikh.

Miss Zarina Shaikh is a consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Southwest of England.

She was the Founding President of the UK Society of Women in Maxillofacial surgeon and is a career-long passionate educator and advocate for minority doctors in the UK.

*NATIONAL ANATOMY COMPETITION!*

We are so excited to announce that we are hosting a national anatomy competition in collaboration with Plovdiv and Sofia surgical societies!

The competition will take place on Wednesday the 24th of November at 6pm (EEST). Entry is free and open to all students!

What's the prize you might ask? A brand suturing kit from MySuture, who have kindly offered to sponsor this competition!

The competition will be held over kahoot. All details about the format and categories that will be covered in the quiz can be found on the poster!

We have 2 exciting events this coming week.

-Tuesday 16th November at 8.00pm (EET)- A career as a vascular surgeon by Mr Ryan Laloo.

-Wednesday 17th November at 8.30pm (EET)- A career as a paediatric surgeon by Miss Jaz Seehra.

Both events will take place online via zoom.

We are thrilled to announce a talk on a career in Paediatric surgery, happening on Wednesday 17th of November at 8.30pm (EET) by Miss Jaz Seehra.

Miss Jaz Seehra is a Core Surgical Trainee (CT2) with a themed job in Paediatric Surgery (also has a keen love for General).

She is a graduate with a background in Biochemistry and currently reading for an MSc.

A keen educator and previous President of Leicester SCRUBS, she enjoys training future surgeons.

Fun fact: She loves to bake and has spent 5 years perfecting her macaron recipe.

Attendance certificates will be sent to those who complete feedback form at the end of the talk.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be joined on Tuesday 16th of November at 8.00pm (EET) by Mr Ryan Verendra Laloo, who will be giving the talk on a career in Vascular surgery.

Mr Ryan is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow ST2 in Vascular Surgery based in Yorkshire at the Leeds Institute for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine. After graduating from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2017
In 2020, he graduated from the University of Leeds after completing a PGCert in Health Research.
He currently serves in the role of Associate Honorary Secretary to Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT).

We would love to see you there!

Attendance certificates will be sent to those who complete feedback form at the end of the talk.
