🏠 In the Safe Zone for unaccompanied and separated children at the Registration and Reception Centre in Harmanli, small everyday activities continue to create moments of connection and routine.
♟️IOM Bulgaria’s team regularly organizes informal play sessions, where children gather around games like Jenga, chess, and darts. 🎯 These moments may seem simple, but they offer a chance to relax, interact with others, and take a break from the uncertainty of daily life.
Through shared activities, children build focus, communication, and social skills 🤝 while also finding a sense of normalcy in a safe and supportive environment. 💙 .
Alongside these activities, IOM continues to offer individual social, psychological, and legal support, tailored to the specific needs of each child. 👥
🇪🇺 These activities are implemented within the framework of the project “Establishment of alternative arrangements for comprehensive social care services for unaccompanied refugee children in Bulgaria”, implemented by the State Agency for Refugees and funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2021–2027, with the financial support of the European Union.
