The Passage is a sculptural urn defined by its open form.
Its central hollow is an intentional design element that allows space and light to pass through the piece.
In many cultures, openings carry meaning.
In Japanese tradition, the torii gate marks a transition between the ordinary and the sacred.
In Zen philosophy, the ensō (open circle) represents completeness through openness, not closure.
The Passage follows this idea.
The solid ceramic body provides stability, while the opening represents continuity rather than separation.
Designed to exist within a living space, the sculpture interacts with its surroundings instead of isolating what it holds.
It offers a quiet, respectful way to keep memory present—without enclosing it.

Throughout history, vessels designed with repeated patterns were believed to hold more than their physical contents. They acted as guides—forms that steadied the spirit, carrying it gently from one state of being to another. Cultures across the Mediterranean, East Asia, and the Near East carved rhythmic motifs into their ceremonial urns for the same reason: repetition creates order, and order creates peace.
The vertical contours of this urn follow that ancient principle. Each rise in the pattern resembles a quiet step upward, a small ascent, like the slow lifting of breath in meditation. Together they form a series of subtle pathways, suggesting movement even in stillness. This gives the vessel not only texture but intention—an architecture of calm.
Rather than imprisoning memory, the shape is meant to guide it. The eye naturally follows the repeated lines upward, and with it comes the sense that what is held inside is not trapped but gently lifted. It becomes a symbolic passage: a way of saying that the person we honor is not descending into darkness but rising into a quieter, softer form of presence.
In this way, the urn becomes more than an object.
It becomes a companion to transition—steady, structured, and serene—echoing the ancient belief that vessels can help carry the soul where it needs to go.

There is a moment every cat guardian knows —
the quiet instant when a cat rests with all four paws tucked beneath its body,
upright yet still,
watchful without tension.
A posture of calm authority.
A sphinx in the familiar space of home.

This urn is shaped from that moment.

Its form captures the dignity of a cat at rest —
alert, composed, and deeply present.
The body is gathered inward, not withdrawn but contained,
as if holding warmth, memory, and attention all at once.

The head is gently lifted, the gaze steady.
It is the same posture they took by the window,
observing the world without needing to move,
keeping silent watch as light shifted and hours passed.

Nothing here speaks of sleep.
This is repose —
the noble stillness of a being who remains aware,
who guards simply by being present.

The surface is calm and uninterrupted,
allowing light to settle softly,
as it once did on fur in the early morning.

Placed in a quiet space, the urn feels less like an absence
and more like a continuation —
as if the watch never truly ended.

In the old stories of Ireland, before maps were drawn and before the coastline had a name, there lived Clíodhna, goddess of love, beauty, and the shimmering realms beyond mortal sight.
Her home was Tír na nÓg — the Land of Eternal Youth — where sorrow could not reach and time slipped softly like morning mist.
But even in paradise, a heart may wander.
Clíodhna fell in love with a mortal man from the shores of Glandore, a man whose kindness pulled her across the threshold between worlds.
For a time, they lived in quiet harmony, walking the green cliffs at dusk, listening to the hum of the sea, speaking soft promises meant only for the two of them.
Yet the Otherworld does not easily release those who belong to it.
Each dawn, as the first light touched the water, a great wave rose from the sea — a wave said to be the call of the spirit realm itself.
It tried to reclaim Clíodhna, to draw her back into the eternal lands.
But she resisted.
Again and again, she refused to leave the one she loved.
Her heart, mortal in devotion but divine in endurance, kept returning with every tide.
Fishermen claim that even now, if you stand at Glandore Harbor in the early morning, you can hear her:
a soft pulse beneath the breaking waves,
a rhythm steady and unbroken —
the heartbeat of a love that would not disappear.
Over the centuries, the Irish shaped a saying from her story:
“What the heart treasures,
the world cannot take away.”
And so, the Heart urn echoes her legend.
Its sculpted form suggests a beacon of devotion — a place where memory rests like light within the carved golden chamber.
Just as Clíodhna’s love returned with each tide, the flame at its center symbolizes what endures:
a bond that persists beyond distance, beyond silence, beyond time itself.
This urn becomes a harbor —
where love returns again and again,
as sure and constant as the sea.

Across East Asia, the most enduring symbols were rarely sharp or rigid.
They emerged instead as curved, continuous forms — alive with restrained movement and inner balance.

In ancient Chinese thought, eternity was not understood as something fixed or static, but as circulation.
The Dao was described as a way without origin or conclusion — a motion that turns back upon itself.
Forms that curve inward, uninterrupted, were seen as vessels of harmony, reflecting the ceaseless flow of qì (氣) through all living beings. What seems to close is, in truth, only returning.

In Mongolian cosmology, existence unfolded within a vast and sheltering cycle shaped by sky and steppe.
Above all stood the Eternal Blue Heaven — Tenger — arching endlessly, while life moved beneath it in quiet continuity. Circular and enclosing forms signified protection rather than constraint: to be held was not to be limited, but to belong.

The Eternity urn carries these traditions within its form.
Its contour moves without rupture — no abrupt edges, no discernible beginning or end. One surface yields into the next, as though shaped by duration rather than by hand. The hollowed space at its center does not signify absence, but continuation — a still chamber where memory remains present and light is allowed to linger.

In the Violet finish, the form evokes stone softened by time — touched by twilight, memory, and depth. The color carries a quiet gravity: reflective, contemplative, enduring. It belongs not to a single moment, but to a rhythm that extends beyond it.

The Passage – Wishing on Dandelions

When we were children, we believed that if we closed our eyes and blew upon a dandelion,
our wishes would rise with the wind — drifting toward places where hope quietly takes root.
As time carries us forward, we come to understand that those wishes never truly disappear;
they linger like breath on skin, suspended between memory and light.

“The Passage – Wishing on Dandelions” is an homage to that tender belief —
that love, once released, continues beyond what can be seen or heard.
Its flowing form captures the grace of transition:
a pause between holding close and gently letting go.

Hand-drawn dandelions move softly across its surface,
each seed a whispered story,
each fine crack in the glaze a trace of time, lovingly preserved.
At its center rests a circle — unbroken and calm —
where beginnings return as quiet reflections of what was cherished.

The small candle within glows like a wish in motion,
reminding us that remembrance is not defined by absence,
but by the enduring beauty of what continues.

✨ Blow gently — love always finds its way toward the light.

There are forms that seem to still the room around them —
objects that do not demand attention, yet gently gather it.
The Guardian Violet is one of these rare presences.

Its wings rise in slow, curved layers, like a held breath,
their surfaces flowing with shades of deep violet and softened plum —
the color of evening just before night fully arrives,
when the world dims not with loss, but with calm.

The glaze carries the richness of twilight after rain:
violet touched with shadow, reflective yet grounded,
as if light itself has learned to rest.
Within the surface, subtle variations shimmer —
not bright, not sharp —
but like memory moving beneath still water.

At the heart of the form stands the figure itself:
quiet, centered, unwavering.
It does not gesture or explain.
It remains —
the way love does when words fall away.

The wings do not close, yet they shelter.
They curve outward in a shape that suggests protection without confinement,
as if holding space rather than holding tight —
allowing remembrance to breathe.

Placed on a shelf, near a window, or in a quiet corner of the home,
the Guardian does not stand above you.
It stands with you.

A presence for moments of reflection.
A companion to grief that does not hurry healing.
A reminder that what was deeply loved
does not vanish —
it settles, softly, into form.

Pulvis Art Urns

In their desire to create a product that makes a difference Pulvis Art Urns supports the concept of a group of artists, ceramists and sculptors, who design and create models, which are far more than just traditional urns for ashes. Our initial idea is to create urns that imply the feeling of experiencing art.

With great attention to detail, the cremation urns for ashes are entirely hand-made of high-quality ceramic, produced according to the recipes of Pulvis Art Urns technologists. The various palette of colours is especially worked out by a team of artists and laboratory assistants, which aims at providing quality and aesthetics of the urns.

All the series are offered in two sizes, suitable for keeping at home and for performing funeral ceremonies and funeral arrangements.
