⭐Грандиозно начало на 2️⃣0️⃣-тата юбилейна конференция на Българска асоциация на хирурзи, гастроентеролози и онколози (БАХГО)!
⭐Зала 6️⃣ на НДК трудно побра гостите от цялата страна и чужбина – колеги, партньори и приятели, обединени от обща кауза.
👥Емоции, усмивки и истинско чувство на сплотеност изпълниха залата още с преди откриването.
⭐Споделяме с вас вдъхновяващите думи на проф. Ивелин Такоров, председател на БАХГО, които поставиха началото на тази специална среща. В нея той подчерта важността на диалога между различни, но сходни специалности и на мултидисциплинарния подход в съвременното лечение на едни от най-честите и смъртоносни ракови заболявания в наши дни.
⭐Темата на срещата „Горещи теми от хирургичната онкология и гастроентерология” ще акцентира именно върху това, а присъствието на едни от най-опитните експерти в света ще позволят на участниците да се запознаят с последните постижения в медицината и да подобрят своите знания и професионални умения.
⭐Тук сме, за да се учим един от друг. Защото медицинската наука, както и съвременната наука като цяло, стана твърде специализирана. Нашата Асоциация има друга мисия. Трябва да преминем линията. Да видим другата гледна точка.

⭐The 20th International Conference of the Bulgarian Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists starts right now!
When you put together distinguished medical professionals from various fields, you can get a sure result – a quarrel, or as we call it, with certain political correctness, a heated concilium.
⭐Yet, we are not here for that, aren’t we?
⭐We are here to learn from each other. Because medical science, like contemporary science in general, has become too specialized, too closed in inner circles. Quite often, we talk just to our kin – and read our own publications. It is like echo chambers of social media: we talk to ourselves. This is good. This makes us excellent experts. But does it make us excellent doctors?
⭐Our Association has another mission. We have to cross the line. To see the other perspective. To engage in a dialogue with the colleagues from different, yet kindred specialties. And to find some unexpected solutions. The surgeon, the oncologist and the gastroenterologist see different things in the liver – but the liver is one, and it needs a healing, with a multidisciplinary approach.
⭐The theme of the meeting “Hot topics of surgical oncology and gastroenterology” will focus on exactly this: the integrative approach in the contemporary treatment of some of the most frequent and deadliest cancers nowadays. The scientific sessions will ensure interactive discussions and multidisciplinary debates. The joint sessions will focus on the actual details that bring closer different specialties. The presence of one of the most experienced experts worldwide will allow you to see the latest advancements in medicine and to enhance our knowledge and professional skills. Thank you for coming!
⭐In other words, we will restore the Renaissance, Multidisciplinary Expert – but we will arm him or her with the tools of 22nd century. Well, I wanted to say “the 21st”, but when you dream about conferences at night, your mind jumps in the future fast forward.
⭐That said, let us not forget the future. We have the young stars here! Let us cheer them! A new, better generation is coming. Many hours will be dedicated to their best posters, clinical cases, videos and oral presentations.
⭐And last but not least, let us have good time together. Renaissance science comes with Renaissance spirit – a real joy of life, which includes the beauty of Sofia, the charms of spring – and a delicious cuisine, which is like our Association – mixing influences from East to West, North and South. Dialogue may look hard in our conciliums – but is quite pretty in a big spring plate!
