I'm a mother of a child recently diagnosed with ASD and I created this page to document our heartfelt mother & child journey from scratch (starting from day 1 since we learned about

our child having this spectrum and see how we progress through the years and somehow help other parents with a similar situation when they stumbled onto this page). As of now, in April of 2023, I'm still a mother who is still very new to this spectrum & struggling to process/absorb every detail about ASD, learning a lot, reading a lot, watching a lot, reaching out to a lot of people with a similar circumstance, and eventually, hoping that I would be able to share all our experiences, my son's activities, milestones, progress, and help every parent in need (particularly the beginners) to gain a lot of information on how to deal and raise lovingly & patiently a child with Autism Spectrum disorder. Follow us as we navigate our daily life, as we share our small but great achievements, our victories, as well as our daily challenges, our journey through the years, and all the lessons we learned along the way.

My little drummer boy. Rain’s recent fascination is tapping spoon or anything on the floor and I’ve noticed that he’s trying to follow the beat of the music playing and gets frustrated when he couldn’t do so, I thought he might have this passion for drumming sooner or later, we decided to get him a drum kit mat to start with.

Being with Nanay 24hrs a day for the last few months, I thought he might gonna need more time to settle, but fortunately, he did enjoyed his first day!

Unlike other kids, Rain doesn’t like to play with a phone much. So many times we tried giving him the iPad from time to time so at least he can watch something but he’s not fascinated with it.

Surprisingly, a week back i made him watch Cocomelon from my other phone and now he’s trying to watch by himself, though not good at holding the phone yet without disturbing the screen 😂

I know too much screen time is not good for kids and I wont let him be, but i just got proud that he is now a normal kid watching cartoons from the phone for the first time at 5 years old! 😂

And the truth is it’s good to have a few idle time alone without the need to entertain Rain all the time, haha!

Nanay time.
