St Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement , Kingdom of Bahrain St.Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement is the first unit in Arabian Gulf and is one of the active spiritual organizations of our Cathedral.

The activities of this unit is as old as the age of our congregation. St.Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement, a spiritual wing of St. Marys's Indian Orthodox Cathedral is the first unit in Arabian Gulf and is one of the active spiritual organizations of our Cathedral. The lifestyle of the youth in the Gulf may appear to be colorful, but in actuality they face a lot of difficulties and challen

ges. This unit is serving as a spiritual platform where all efforts will be made to share, care and thereby help in diminishing the pain of others and make aware of talents that the young bloods have. We are actively involved in various spiritual, cultural and social activities of the church. Regular meetings are held on every Saturdays at 9:00 pm. Devotional addresses, group discussions, Bible studies, quiz competition, etc. are the main activities of the regular meetings. Special Retreats, seminars, symposiums, Debates, Study classes, Medical camps and Conferences are frequently arranged by inviting eminent personalities and resource persons. In the year 2008, we have expanded our role in line with Holy Synod’s decision to include Women to regular meetings. This was a great achievement as it increased participation of young women in the church Forum and enable couples to attend the meeting as active members. We have won the President’s “Best Unit Award” & “Best unit Secretary Award” for our outstanding activities during the year 2006. Rahma 2026 and Labour Day Celebration

സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ ബഹ്‌റൈന്റെ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം എല്ലാ വർഷവും ലേബർ ഡേയോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടത്തിവരാറുള്ള പ്രമുഖ കാരുണ്യ പദ്ധതിയായ 'റഹ്മ 2026' ഈ വർഷവും വളരെ ഭംഗിയായി നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.
മെയ് ദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് തിയോഫിലോസ് ഹാളിൽ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ പ്രത്യേക പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ നടന്നു. തുടർന്ന് കത്തീഡ്രൽ പ്രസിഡന്റ്, വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്, സെക്രട്ടറി എന്നിവർക്കൊപ്പം മാനേജിംഗ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങൾ, യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങൾ, മറ്റ് യുവജന-ഇടവക അംഗങ്ങൾ എന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് കേക്ക് മുറിച്ച് മെയ് ദിനം ആഘോഷിച്ചു.
തുടർന്ന് ഇടവക ജനങ്ങളുടെ അകമഴിഞ്ഞ സഹായത്തോടെ സമാഹരിച്ച ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളും നിത്യോപയോഗ സാധനങ്ങളും അടങ്ങിയ എസ്സൻഷ്യൽ കിറ്റുകൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. മേഖലയിലെ നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ മൂലം പ്രയാസമനുഭവിക്കുന്ന നിരവധി ആളുകൾക്ക് ഈ സഹായം എത്തിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

'Rahma 2026', the prominent charitable initiative organized annually by the Bahrain St. Thomas Orthodox Youth Movement (the youth wing of St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Bahrain) in connection with Labour Day, was successfully conducted this year as well.
The event took place at Theophilos Hall, commencing with special prayers. Following this, the Cathedral President, Vice President, and Secretary, along with members of the Managing Committee, Youth Movement Executive Committee, and other parish members, celebrated May Day with a cake-cutting ceremony.
Essential kits containing food items and daily necessities, collected through the generous contributions of the parishioners, were distributed during the event. This initiative provided much-needed support to many individuals facing hardships due to the current prevailing circumstances in the region.

Rahma 2026: Preparation for Distribution

സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ ബഹ്‌റൈന്റെ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച 'റഹ്മ 2026' പദ്ധതിയുടെ വിതരണത്തിന് മുന്നോടിയായുള്ള കിറ്റുകളുടെ ക്രമീകരണം തിയോഫിലോസ് ഹാളിൽ വെച്ച് നടന്നു.

ഇടവകാംഗങ്ങളുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ സമാഹരിച്ച കിറ്റുകൾ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട വികാരിയച്ചന്റെയും അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് വികാരിയച്ചന്റെയും മുഖ്യകാർമ്മികത്വത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു. ചടങ്ങിൽ കത്തീഡ്രൽ സെക്രട്ടറി, മാനേജിംഗ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങൾ, യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങൾ, സന്നദ്ധപ്രവർത്തകർ എന്നിവർ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നു. മേഖലയിലെ നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രയാസമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് കൈത്താങ്ങാകുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് ഈ ഒരുക്കങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.

The Bahrain St. Thomas Orthodox Youth Movement, the youth wing of St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Bahrain, organized the final sorting and arrangement of essential kits for 'Rahma 2026' at Theophilos Hall.

The kits, collected with the generous support of our parish members, were blessed with a prayer led by the Vicar and Assistant Vicar. SARGOLSAVAM 2026 – APRIL | SPOT DRAMA COMPETITION

ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെൻ്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് ക്രൈസ്തവ യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം (STOCYM) അംഗങ്ങളുടെ സർഗ്ഗാത്മകമായ കഴിവുകൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി നടത്തിവരുന്ന 'സർഗ്ഗോത്സവം' പരിപാടിയുടെ ഏപ്രിൽ മാസത്തെ ഇനമായ 'സ്പോട്ട് ഡ്രാമ' മത്സരം 2026 ഏപ്രിൽ 25-ന് ആവേശകരമായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.
നമ്മുടെ യുവജനപ്രസ്ഥാനം സീനിയർ ഫ്രണ്ട് ശ്രീ. സജിൻ എം. ഫിലിപ്പ് മത്സരങ്ങൾ മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. ആകെ 3 ടീമുകൾ പങ്കെടുത്ത ആവേശകരമായ മത്സരത്തിനൊടുവിൽ വിജയികളായവർ:

🥇 ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം: ടീം A

🥈 രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനം: ടീം C

പ്രസ്ഥാനം പ്രസിഡന്റ് ബഹു. ജേക്കബ് തോമസ് അച്ചനും, വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ബഹു. തോമസ്‌കുട്ടി പി.എൻ. അച്ചനും മത്സരങ്ങളുടെ വിധികർത്താക്കളായി പങ്കെടുത്തു. മത്സരങ്ങൾ ഭംഗിയായി നയിച്ച ശ്രീ. സജിൻ എം. ഫിലിപ്പിന് സ്നേഹോപഹാരമായി മെമെന്റോ നൽകുകയും വിജയികളായ ടീമുകൾക്കുള്ള സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ അച്ചന്മാർ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഈ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാവർക്കും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് പരിപാടിക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയ സീനിയർ ഫ്രണ്ട് ശ്രീ. സജിൻ എം. ഫിലിപ്പിനും സർഗ്ഗോത്സവം കോർഡിനേറ്റർ ശ്രീമതി ഷൈൻ സൂസൻ സജി നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.

As part of Sargolsavam 2026—a monthly initiative by the St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (STOCYM) of St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Bahrain, to nurture the creative talents of our members—we successfully organized a Spot Drama competition on April 25, 2026.

The event was expertly coordinated by our Youth Movement Senior Friend, Mr. Sajin M. Philip, whose leadership ensured an engaging and spirited competition for everyone involved.

We were blessed by the presence of our President, Fr. Jacob Thomas, and Vice President, Fr. Thomaskutty P.N., who served as the esteemed judges for the event. Our Vicars presented a memento to Mr. Sajin M. Philip as a token of appreciation for leading the competition and distributed the prizes to the winning teams.
Sargolsavam Coordinator, Mrs. Shine Susan Saji, extended her sincere gratitude to our Senior Friend, the judges, and all the participants who made this event a grand success.

Inauguration of STOCYM Membership Campaign 2026

ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെൻ്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് ക്രൈസ്തവ യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം (STOCYM) മെമ്പർഷിപ്പ് ക്യാമ്പയിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം പ്രസ്ഥാനം വൈസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ബഹു. തോമസുകുട്ടി പി. എൻ. അച്ചൻ നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു.
ചടങ്ങിൽ വെച്ച് പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്ക് പുതുതായി കടന്നുവന്ന അംഗങ്ങൾ സ്വയം പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുകയും, അവരെ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി യോഗത്തിലേക്ക് സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം ജോയിൻ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി അലൻ കോശി, 2026-ലെ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങൾ എന്നിവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നു. ആരാധന, പഠനം, സേവനം എന്നീ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ മുൻനിർത്തി കൂടുതൽ യുവാക്കളെ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഈ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ കൊണ്ട് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

The membership campaign for the year 2026 of the St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (STOCYM), the youth wing of Bahrain St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Cathedral, was officially inaugurated by the Movement’s Vice President, Rev. Fr. Thomaskutty P.N.
During the ceremony, the newly joined members introduced themselves, and the Vice President formally welcomed them into the movement. STOCYM Joint Secretary Alan Koshy and the members of the 2026 Executive Committee were present at the occasion. The primary goal of this campaign is to integrate more youth into the movement, guided by the three-fold motto: Worship, Study, and Service.

Cottage Prayer - April Month

ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെൻ്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ സെൻ്റ് തോമസ് ഒ.സി.വൈ.എം (OCYM)-ൻ്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ എല്ലാ മാസവും അംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ വെച്ച് നടത്തിവരാറുള്ള "കോട്ടേജ് പ്രയർ" ഏപ്രിൽ 19 ഞായറാഴ്ച ഭംഗിയായി നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.

ശ്രീ. സജി ചാക്കോയുടെ ഭവനത്തിൽ വെച്ച് നടന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനാ യോഗത്തിൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനം പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ബഹു. ജേക്കബ് തോമസ് അച്ചൻ നേതൃത്വം നൽകുകയും വചനസന്ദേശം അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം ഭാരവാഹികളും, അംഗങ്ങളും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

The monthly "Cottage Prayer" organized by St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM), the youth wing of Bahrain St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Cathedral, was successfully held on Sunday, April 19th.

The prayer meeting, hosted at the residence of Mr. Saji Chacko, was led by the President of the movement, Rev. Fr. Jacob Thomas, who also delivered the devotional message. Office bearers, OCYM members, and their families attended the prayer session.

ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട വികാരി, അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് വികാരി, കത്തീഡ്രൽ ട്രസ്റ്റി, കത്തീഡ്രൽ സെക്രട്ടറി എന്നിവരുടെയും യൂത്ത് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് മിസ്റ്റർ. ജിനു ചെറിയാൻ, സെക്രട്ടറി മിസ്റ്റർ. മാക്സ് മാത്യൂസ്, ട്രഷറർ മിസ്റ്റർ. അനി ഫിലിപ്പോസ്, എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കമ്മിറ്റി കോർഡിനേറ്റർ മിസ്റ്റർ. ജുബിൻ തോമസ് എന്നിവരുടെയും സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടന്നു.

ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കിറ്റ് (Food Essentials): മിസ്റ്റർ. വിനു പൗലോസിന്റെ മകൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ശലോമോ പോൾ വിനു, ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട വികാരി റവ. ഫാദർ ജേക്കബ് തോമസ് അച്ചന് നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് ആദ്യ കിറ്റിന്റെ വിതരണം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു.

നിത്യോപയോഗ സാധനങ്ങളുടെ കിറ്റ് (Daily Essentials): ആദ്യത്തെ ഡെയിലി എസൻഷ്യൽസ് കിറ്റ് മിസ്റ്റർ. ജിഷു പി. ജോയ്, ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് വികാരി റവ. ഫാദർ തോമസ്‌കുട്ടി പി.എൻ. അച്ചന് കൈമാറി.

The official inauguration of RAHMA 2026 was held on Friday, 17th April, following the Holy Qurbana. The ceremony was conducted in the presence of the Vicar, Asst. Vicar, Cathedral Trustee, Cathedral Secretary, and STOCYM officials including Vice President Mr. Jinu Cherian, Secretary Mr. Max Mathews, Treasurer Mr. Ani Philipose, and Executive Committee Coordinator Mr. Jubin Thomas.

Food Essentials Kit: The first kit was presented by Master Salomo Paul Vinu (son of Mr. Vinu Paulose) to our Vicar, Rev. Fr. Jacob Thomas.

Daily Essentials Kit: The first daily essentials kit was handed over by Mr. Jishu P. Joy to our Assistant Vicar, Rev. Fr. Thomaskutty P.N.

This initiative aims to be a "Christian Testimony in the Desert," supporting our parish members in need.
