St Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement , Kingdom of Bahrain

St.Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement is the first unit in Arabian Gulf and is one of the active spiritual organizations of our Cathedral.

The activities of this unit is as old as the age of our congregation. St.Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement, a spiritual wing of St. Marys's Indian Orthodox Cathedral is the first unit in Arabian Gulf and is one of the active spiritual organizations of our Cathedral. The lifestyle of the youth in the Gulf may appear to be colorful, but in actuality they face a lot of difficulties and challenges. This unit is serving as a spiritual platform where all efforts will be made to share, care and thereby help in diminishing the pain of others and make aware of talents that the young bloods have. We are actively involved in various spiritual, cultural and social activities of the church. Regular meetings are held on every Saturdays at 9:00 pm. Devotional addresses, group discussions, Bible studies, quiz competition, etc. are the main activities of the regular meetings. Special Retreats, seminars, symposiums, Debates, Study classes, Medical camps and Conferences are frequently arranged by inviting eminent personalities and resource persons. In the year 2008, we have expanded our role in line with Holy Synod’s decision to include Women to regular meetings. This was a great achievement as it increased participation of young women in the church Forum and enable couples to attend the meeting as active members. We have won the President’s “Best Unit Award” & “Best unit Secretary Award” for our outstanding activities during the year 2006. കാതോലിക്കാ ദിനാശംസകൾ - സെൻ്റ് തോമസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ യൂത്ത് മൂവ്‌മെൻ്റ്

മലങ്കര ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുടെ സ്വയംശീർഷകത്വവും, പൗരസ്ത്യ കാതോലിക്കേറ്റിന്റെ ഉന്നത പദവിയും ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന വലിയ നോയമ്പിലെ 36-ാം ദിവസമായ മാർച്ച് 22 ഞായറാഴ്ച, സഭയാകമാനം കാതോലിക്കാ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു.

നമ്മുടെ സഭയുടെ അപ്പോസ്തോലിക പാരമ്പര്യത്തിലും തനിമയിലും അഭിമാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, കാതോലിക്കേറ്റിനോടുള്ള ഉറച്ച വിശ്വാസത്തിലും കൂറിലും നമുക്ക് ഒന്നിച്ച് മുന്നേറാം. സഭയുടെ ആത്മീയ ഉന്നതിക്കും ലോകസമാധാനത്തിനുമായി നമുക്ക് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാം.

On March 22nd, the 36th Sunday of the Great Lent, the Malankara Orthodox Church observes Catholicate Day, celebrating its autocephaly and the exalted status of the Catholicate of the East.

Let us move forward in unity, taking pride in our Church's apostolic tradition and identity, with unwavering faith and loyalty to the Holy Catholicate. Let us pray for the spiritual growth of our Church and for world peace.

കോട്ടേജ് പ്രയർ - ഫെബ്രുവരി മാസം

ബഹ്‌റൈൻ സെൻ്റ് മേരീസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കത്തീഡ്രൽ യുവജന വിഭാഗമായ സെൻ്റ് തോമസ് ഒ.സി.വൈ.എം (OCYM)-ൻ്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ എല്ലാ മാസവും അംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ വെച്ച് നടത്തിവരാറുള്ള "കോട്ടേജ് പ്രയർ" ഫെബ്രുവരി 8 ഞായറാഴ്ച ഭംഗിയായി നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.

ശ്രീമതി സിമി പ്രിൻസിൻ്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ വെച്ച് നടന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനാ യോഗത്തിൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനം വൈസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ബഹു. തോമസുകുട്ടി പി.എൻ. അച്ചൻ നേതൃത്വം നൽകുകയും വചനസന്ദേശം അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. യുവജന പ്രസ്ഥാനം ഭാരവാഹികളും, അംഗങ്ങളും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Cottage Prayer - February Month

The monthly "Cottage Prayer" organized by St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM), the youth wing of Bahrain St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Cathedral, was successfully held on Sunday, February 8th.

The prayer meeting, hosted at the residence of Mrs. Simi Prince, was led by the Vice President of the movement, Rev. Fr. Thomaskutty P.N., who also delivered the devotional message. Office bearers, OCYM members, and their families attended the prayer session.

സർഗ്ഗോത്സവം 2026 - ജനുവരി 🌟
യുവജനപ്രസ്ഥാനം അംഗങ്ങളുടെ സർഗ്ഗാത്മകമായ കഴിവുകൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി എല്ലാ മാസവും നടത്തിവരുന്ന 'സർഗ്ഗോത്സവം' പരിപാടിയുടെ 2026-ലെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഇനമായ 'ബൈബിൾ റഫറൻസ്' മത്സരം ജനുവരി 31-ന് വിജയകരമായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.

നമ്മുടെ യുവജനപ്രസ്ഥാനം അംഗമായ ശ്രീ. സിറിൽ ജോൺ മത്സരങ്ങൾ മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. ആകെ 4 ടീമുകൾ പങ്കെടുത്ത ആവേശകരമായ പോരാട്ടത്തിനൊടുവിൽ വിജയികളായവർ:

🏆 ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം: ടീം A
🥈 രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനം: ടീം D

പ്രസ്ഥാനം വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ബഹു. തോമസ്‌കുട്ടി പി.എൻ. അച്ചൻ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും, മത്സരങ്ങൾ ഭംഗിയായി നയിച്ച ശ്രീ. സിറിൽ ജോണിന് സ്നേഹോപഹാരമായി മെമെന്റോ നൽകി ആദരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അതോടൊപ്പം വിജയികളായ ടീമുകൾക്കുള്ള സമ്മാനങ്ങളും അച്ചൻ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.

ഈ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാവർക്കും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശ്രീ. സിറിൽ ജോണിനും സർഗ്ഗോത്സവം കോർഡിനേറ്റർ ശ്രീമതി ഷൈൻ സൂസൻ സജി നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.

Sargolsavam 2026 - January 🌟
Sargolsavam 2026, our monthly initiative dedicated to nurturing the creative and spiritual talents of our Youth Movement members, successfully kicked off its first event of the year, 'Bible Reference', on January 31st.

Our Youth Movement member, Mr. Cyril John, expertly coordinated the competition. After an exciting session involving 4 participating teams, the winners are:

🥈 Second Place: Team D

Our Vice President, Rev. Thomaskutty P.N., graced the occasion and honored Mr. Cyril John with a memento as a token of appreciation for leading the event so beautifully. Achen also distributed the prizes to the winning teams.

Sargolsavam Coordinator Mrs. Shine Susan Saji expressed her sincere gratitude to everyone who participated, with a special note of thanks to Mr. Cyril John.

The fifth week of "SAMARPANA PRARTHANA" (Dedication Prayer), organized by the St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM) during the Holy Lent, was held with great devotion at the St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Bahrain.

Cathedral Vicar and Unit President, Rev. Fr. Jacob Thomas, along with Asst. Vicar and Vice President, Rev. Fr. Thomaskutty P.N., led the prayers. Cathedral member Mrs. Anu Jibin delivered the devotional meditation. A large number of faithful participated in the prayer and the soulful song service led by OCYM members and well-wishers. May this Lenten season be a time of true spiritual dedication

In response to the urgent need for blood donors, our members, families, and friends turned out in large numbers to support this noble cause. Your selflessness is a testament to the strength of our community and your commitment to saving lives.
