We were delighted to host Anna Souchet from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London (LSHTM) for her MSc summer research project in Medical Parasitology and Entomology, under the supervision of Dr. Corine Ngufor.

Anna’s project focused on the impact of pyrethroid resistance on the efficacy of transfluthrin-based spatial repellents, providing critical insights for the future deployment of this promising tool in malaria vector control.

We are very pleased to see this video by the Gates Foundation showcasing our work in the evaluation of novel vector control tools in Benin under the leadership of our lead scientist Prof. Corine Ngufor. Next-generation mosquito nets are driving meaningful progress in the global fight against malaria. This is a shining example of how science, innovation and partnerships can save lives. We must continue to do what we can to stay ahead of the mosquito vector.

Visit from the Gates Foundation | We were honoured to welcome Mr David Malone from the Gates Foundation to our GLP-certified research laboratory. This visit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our partnership and to exchange views on key initiatives in the field of research and innovation. We also took the opportunity to offer our guest a guided tour of our laboratory and to present our current projects, our state-of-the-art operations and our commitment to public health. We are deeply grateful for the continued support of the Gates Foundation, which has enabled us to make significant contributions as a leading research institution in Africa.

IVCC Visit to our facility | We were honoured to welcome a delegation from the Innovative Vector Control Consortium to our Facility on 6 March 2025. This visit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our collaboration on the development and evaluation of novel vector control products.
We also took the opportunity to offer the team a guided tour of our laboratory, insectaries and testing operations.
We appreciate the support we have received from IVCC over the years that has enabled us to stand out as a leading GLP-compliant facility in vector control product evaluation in Africa.

Vector Control Working Group Meeting | From March 3 to 5, 2025, the Vector Control Working Group (VCWG) of the RBM partnership, held its annual meeting in Cotonou. It was a moment for sharing best practices and strengthening collaborations within the malaria vector control community. Our team was well represented by our Facility Manager, Dr. Corine Ngufor, who is also the Co-Chair of the VCWG and some key staff members.
Together, we are making progress towards more effective malaria control even in difficult times.
