Spring Reset🌷🧽🧠

When you clean your space, you are not just organising your environment, you are changing how your brain functions.

Clutter forces your brain to process multiple competing stimuli at once, which drains attention, slows thinking, and makes it harder to hold onto information.

Deep cleaning removes that noise. With less visual and mental input, your brain can focus faster, think more clearly, and store information more efficiently. That is where the “upgrade” comes from.

So the lighter, clearer feeling after cleaning is not just a vibe… it is your brain working better.

A friendly reminder.💛

In the midst of giving those around you grace, second chances and breathing room…remember to offer yourself the same.

We can easily set unrealistic expectations for ourselves which leads to unfair judgement toward our feelings and actions.

Give yourself grace, you are doing the best that you can. I mean it. 💛

Loquats? No brainer!😋🧠

Bermuda’s spring fruit is in season! Loquats might seem like just another fruit, but they are doing more behind the scenes than you think.

Loquats are rich in antioxidants which help protect brain cells from oxidative stress, a process that can damage neurons over time.

With the help of loquats reducing everyday wear and tear, your brain can efficiently processes, store, and respond to information. That means your memory, focus, and overall cognitive function gets a boost!

Last week I received the unexpected news that I was nominated for ✨Entrepreneur of the Year✨ at the BEDC Business Awards!

I am truly honoured to be acknowledged alongside so many brilliant, unique and inspiring individuals.

I pray I can continue to support my community in mental and brain health, and of course, a funny reel or two.

Thank you!!!🥹💛

Spring Has Sprung!🌼🌿

Feel the sudden urge to get through your to- do list, accomplish your new year resolutions or feel an extra motivational spring in your step? You can thank spring for that.

Longer daylight reduces melatonin and increases serotonin which lifts mood and sharpens mental energy. At the same time, dopamine systems become more active, making action, planning, and follow-through feel easier and more rewarding.

So that sudden “get it together” energy is not random… your brain is literally shifting into a more motivated state!

Spring Forward!🌺🕟🧠🤕

Losing an hour of sleep may seem small, but the brain is highly sensitive to this change.

The time shift disrupts circadian rhythms which help regulate alertness, blood pressure, and cardiovascular activity. Essentially your brain and body is slightly out of sync.

Research shows that during this period there is a measurable rise in heart attacks, cognitive disruptions and car accidents.

The small act of moving the clocks forward has severe neurological and physical consequences! Give yourself grace this week as you adjust!

A Lil Sweet Treat!🍰🍫😋

It’s not always a lack of willpower! Feeling full does not automatically mean your brain is finished with food.

Satiety signals sent from the hypothalamus may decrease after a meal, but reward circuits linked to pleasure and learned experience can remain active.

If a food has been repeatedly paired with enjoyment, those dopamine pathways still respond to the cue…even when the meal is done.

So wanting dessert after dinner is not always about hunger. It is often about the brains feel good system & the experience of reward.

Waiting to the end to reveal the juiciest part feels like a cliffhanger for the next episode.😅

My favourite part is when clients giggle because they know they’re doing it for the plot!

Dream Big to Win!💭

When you imagine your future, your brain does not treat it as idle thinking.

Several areas like the medial prefrontal cortex begin to activate, while reward centers in the brain release dopamine (the feel good chemical).

That subtle spark you feel when you picture your next level is your brain getting excited about possibilities and it’s priming you to move toward your goal!
