Dr. Annie Pinto will welcome Dr. Sudhir Diwan, a world-renowned expert and leader in advancing this technology, to Bermuda for a office visit on October 2nd and 3rd, 2025, during which they will collaborate on the initial treatments. For patients with low back pain from degenerative disc disease or persistent postoperative pain, intradiscal injections may help reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve function.
Autologous Cell Therapy, including methods such as Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) or Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), is an option that may support tissue healing and function. Intradiscal therapy is increasingly regarded as a potential alternative to spinal fusion for select patients with degenerative disc disease. These therapies have a strong track record for joints and tendons, and we’re proud to be Bermuda’s first to offer them for spinal treatments.
Both BMAC and PRP can be delivered via injections into the spine as well as into affected joints and tendons, placing us at the forefront of advanced spinal care in Bermuda.
