Love this. We rarely see this here in Bermuda as the nurses and doctors are trained to do coached pushing and not to wait. We talk about this in Birth Matters and how to discuss with your OB and advocate in the birthing room.

“In many cultures, women often give birth without intentional pushing. These mothers might lean forward, squat, or get in other positions as the baby moves through the lower pelvis. The mother quiets her mind, often whispering, ‘the baby’s coming,’ just before the baby is born with the final contractions. Michel Odent describes this natural feature of birth as the ‘fetal ejection reflex.’ It occurs as a swift, involuntary response of the body, instinctively expelling the baby on its own at the climax of uterine contractions and birth’s hormonal cascade.” –Dr. Mackenzie McNamara, DC, CACCP

Dancing in labor ❤️😁

Dancing in pregnancy and labour !
"Dance during labor could reduce labor pain to an extent, shorten the duration of labor, promote natural childbirth, and improve satisfaction with labor, with no adverse effects on neonatal outcomes."
Love this included study too "During the active phase, pregnant women danced with the midwife "

One of the most important parts of healthy brain development in a child’s life is a positive parent-child relationship. This relationship teaches children how future relationships should be understood, measured, and interpreted!

The key to ensuring a positive relationship is nurturing. When children feel protected and have their needs met, their brains experience joy. This leads to them trusting the adult and also promotes healthy social and emotional development!
