Graduation Day

It was an honor to be the very first, black, female dentist awarded the highest implant credential of “Diplomate” from the American Board of Oral Implantology.

I am grateful to my mom, dental teams, and friends for your calls, prayers, and support throughout the years. To my patients who travelled with me for courses; who willingly allowed me to test new dental procedures on you; who laughed and cried with me through my highs and lows of life, I appreciate you. It is your collective faith and encouragement when I sometimes doubted myself, that sustained me. I am ever so thankful to all of you.

For all these blessings and those to come, I give thanks to God.

DAY 1:

Exciting first day at 70th Annual American Association of Implant Dentist Conference. Spent the day with Dr. Stanley Malamed improving my painless injection techniques and how to better manage all the different medical conditions during implant placement.

Was later congratulated by ABOI President, Dr. John Minichetti, on successfully passing the Implant Diplomate credentialing exam.

DR CHIRIMUTA’S BERMUDA AIRPORT EXPERIENCE

I commend the Bermuda Govt for the protocols and procedures to track the unseen vice - Covid 19.
I landed at L.F. Wade yesterday from the UK
compulsory mask on; temperature checked; went through a quick series of personal info checks ; got my GPS monitor wrist bracelet . Got cleared by immigration and customs. My wrist bracelet was then connected via Bluetooth to my phone. I got tested for both nasal and saliva Covid tests. It was painless this time. I will be under compulsory Covid quarantine until proven “innocent”. Wrist bracelet stays on until they take it off. I just received my first test result and it was negative. Thank God. 2 more to go
Thank you Bermuda government for your commitment to a healthy Bermuda. A few countries can benefit if they took a page from Bermuda’s book on the fight against Covid-19.
The process was very efficient.👏🏾
