JPMC officially launched International Nurses and Midwives Day (INMD) 2026 through “Breakfast with Nurses”, held in appreciation of the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of our nurses and midwives in delivering quality patient care.
Officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, the celebration reflects this year’s theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives”, recognising the vital role nurses and midwives play in shaping healthcare and supporting communities.
As part of the occasion, Ms Chung Yea Fui, Director of Nursing, also led a cake distribution session to all clinical units for nurses, midwives, and staff under the Nursing Department as a gesture of appreciation for their unwavering dedication and service.
Thank you to all our nurses and midwives for your compassion, resilience, and commitment in making a difference every day.

JPMC was pleased to welcome The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) for the session “Personal Data Protection Order (PDPO): Safeguarding Personal Data in Practice” held today.
The session aimed to strengthen staff awareness and understanding of personal data protection responsibilities, regulatory compliance, and the importance of safeguarding personal data in day-to-day operations. It also provided valuable insights into best practices for ensuring data privacy, security, and accountability within the workplace.

We were honoured to welcome Her Excellency Mrs Élia António de Araújo dos Reis Amaral, Minister of Health of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, to Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) for an official visit.
Arriving as part of an official convoy, Her Excellency was received by Yang Mulia Dk Hajah Dewi Sarwani binti Pg Haji Sarpuddin, Member of the Board of Directors of JPMC, together with the C-level Executives of JPMC, in the presence of Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, alongside senior representatives from the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
The visit provided an overview of JPMC’s specialised healthcare services and facilities. The programme included tours of the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) and The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC), featuring the Robotics Therapy Room and Nuclear Medicine Department, as well as engagements with our healthcare professionals.
This meaningful visit reflects a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration, advancing healthcare standards, and fostering partnerships in the region.

Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) held a Doa Selamat ceremony to honour eight staff members from JPMC and Gleneagles JPMC (GJPMC) who will be undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in his capacity as the Chairman of the Executive Board of JPMC, together with JPMC and Gleneagles JPMC senior management and staff. The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by the presentation of contributions to the staff members as a gesture of support and well wishes.
JPMC remains committed to fostering a supportive and caring community for its staff.
