This page is created in the wake of the Workplace, Safety and Health Order, 2009 which was on the 1st of August 2013. The team consists of several government agencies from around Brunei, which then formed a steering committee for the decision making panel and a working group to ensure that the safety work culture is running up and about. e 17th of January 2007 and from there, not only it is willing to oblige to the conventions, but also is committed to follow and create a conducive workplace for workers. The Workplace, Safety and Health Order, 2009 was created to ensure that a safe work culture is being practiced by all industries there is in Brunei Darussalam. There are a few regulations under this order, namely :

i) general provisions regulations

ii) construction regulations

iii) officers regulations

iv) committee regulations

v) reporting regulations

vi) risk management regulations and

vii) first aid regulations

These regulations is yet to be gazetted hence is not yet released until further notice

Any person found in violation of the order can be fined up to $200,000 and jailed for up to two years for the first offence. For corporate bodies, the penalty fine is capped at $500,000, and $1 million for second time offenders. For further information or inquiries, please contact 2380256 ext. 4601 during office hours.
