Why I built Pranacore!??
I was told to pick a side — medicine or tradition. Neither had the full picture.

So I built a bridge.

From pain to intelligence. From fear to function. From searching to embodying.

It began with my own hips — the imposible mission of healing without surgery. Years of movement, breath, osteopathy, Reiki, yoga, and mindset reprogramming. I dedicated 6 years of education to find an answer to healing injuries through integration of medicine and tradition. And called it Pranacore.

With real people. Real teachers. Real students. Real clients. Real practice. Real adventures!

A decade later — Pranacore works.
Movement is medicine that can unmap your mindset or movement programs. It can unlock emotions held tight behind the breath holds. You move to unbecome, release. You breathe to connect. You map out your new movement language and get closer to uour superpowers.

As the cold arrives, movement limitations get sharper. The body remembers the crashes, the injuries, the pain. Shoulders hike up. Hips guard. Breath shortens and shrinks.

I became a Bikram yoga teacher in 2005. Fortunate to enjoy the Bikram Yoga community traveling and teaching in many different cultures and studios around the world. I helped trained Bikram and other hot yoga teachers. I even took part in an international yoga championship and learned from doing things I didn't understand.

Bikram is equally known for his hot yoga method and sexual harassment lawsuits. A man with mighty powers and manly struggles whom l learned from, learned from his guru Bishu Gosh in India. Bikram and his guru created a yoga practice with 26 postures and 2 breathing excercises that Bikram took to the West and turned the heat on yoga.

I had my challenges with Bikram, the man and the community. I learned to separate the teacher from the man, and the community from the business. I tried these conflicting energies inside me through practice. I changed studios, countries, continents. It wasn't easy. I gained and I lost. I didn't joint the haters or dye hard follower of Bikram. I stayed neutral. I kept the good and turned the bad into medicine.

All in all, being part of a yoga community allowed me to see its gifts and limitations. Some experiences I took personally, while others I observed. Through observation, my interest for healing yoga related injuries grew. That inspired me to study osteopathy in hopes that I would find a key to movement injuries. Mostly, I wanted to teach others to practice from a place of their inner teacher and their inner power. I wanted to help others resolve their own modern day injuries.

Over the years of researching activities, movement patterns, conditions and injuries I created Pranacore. Pranacore is a therapeutic practcie that reprograms automatic movement patterns for the modern day movers. It is a dynamic, functional class that blends the best of therapeutics and yoga to get you back to your inner teacher and medicine person.

Pranacore is a dynamic, fun movement class that integrates biomechanics and bioenergetics with breath work. It helps boost your movement, breath and performance at play, practice or work.

Jelena researched yoga and sport related injuries as an osteopathic student, yoga practitioner, and an athlete in order to discover the most therapeutic and effective movement patterns that avoid injury and create power and functionality. As a result, she created Pranacore: a practice that focuses on creating smooth transitions, a functional core, stable joints and tons of mobility awareness.

This class helps transform habitual movement patterns and tension to functional and energy giving patterns.

You will laugh! You will move with ease and power! You will feel re-energized and alive! You will connect with your super power, your inner power.

How do you show up for you!??

You do at first what you think you must. Perhaps, you look at what you could have done. Definitely, you consider what you should have done. Or should not have done. Maybe you then do what you want. And make goals. And then reach them. And destroy them too. And then you compare yourself. And you think it’s your nature! To be as you know.

And…. do you have stories! To tell. Retell, remodel and refurbish to support that nature! We all do!

Do you know how to recognize or affect your inner language!? Because that inner language alone affects everything you do and don’t do!

Directly, how you breathe, move and act. Your inner language echos and makes relationships with the external world.

Do you hear it? Because everyone around you hears it.

I thought avoiding speaking would diminish it. And guess what!? It got louder! Of course :)

That voice, your voice, my voice taking form inside seemingly on its own. Like a computer program or a video game. With very little flexibility, it shapes your and my waking and sleeping life.

And you can catch it. With some playful word games. And then you realize the real power of your words and the power of your inner voice.

As a manual therapist, I have witnessed how panic, stress, fear, tension and all sorts of pain take control over my clients’ and students’ breath. This causes havoc on parasympathetic nervous system. Constipation, sleeping problems, eating problems, digestive problems, muscular tension…..

Shall I say more?

Your words impact your programming and your programming arises from words said to you and by you. That affects how you breathe, move and act and here we are.

A superhero developed super skills because adversity pushes him to the edges of normalcy into realizing his potential. Having a reason strong enough to overcome obstacles is what drives the superhero.

What drives you?

Having a good enough reason to live and keep going towards your goals and dreams will help you overcome obstacles and choose the best courses of action.

Don’t shy away from discomforts and stressors by coping or bandaging them. Remember your most important reasons and desires when facing your problems and you’ll unleash your super powers.
