🎯Biofilm formation of mixed Candida albicans and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and surface properties of a 3D-printed denture base resin under different printing parameters

The biofilm formation was not influenced by printing angle and system, even with the higher roughness in parts printed at 45°, especially in the DLP system. Despite this, the LCD printer showed equivalent performance, offering excellent cost-effectiveness for laboratories. Clinically, this reinforces that denture bases
can be produced affordably, safely, and with adequate quality for patients.

🎯In this study, it was observed that certain oral bacteria exhibit distinct characteristics in Kazakhstani adolescents with and without dental caries. Specific species, such as Neisseria and Prevotella, demonstrate the adaptation of their metabolic strategies to thrive under acidic and stressful conditions. However, these metabolic changes consequently render the oral environment more vulnerable to dental caries. The findings underscore the importance of maintaining a delicate balance between the microbiota and metabolism to promote better dental health in young individuals.
