🎯The fine balance of bone metabolism and repair can be affected by systemic disorders and several medications, that alone or combined are able to act with beneficial therapeutic purposes, or to cause important disturbances in bone balance. Dexamethasone and zoledronate are some classical example of the drugs that directly influence bone metabolism. However, modifications in the protocol administration can lead to different responses, as observed in the present in vivo model.

🎯Children without MIH were compared to those with mild and severe MIH (a type dental enamel malformation), to see how MIH affects tooth sensitivity, anxiety, and self-esteem. The results showed that the more severe the MIH, the more tooth pain and concern about how their teeth look. Self-esteem took a bigger hit in severe cases, even though anxiety stayed about the same. This shows MIH is more than just a tooth issue — it really impacts kids’ well-being.

When combined with factors such as high sugar intake and socioeconomic vulnerability, this condition requires comprehensive approaches, including preventive clinical monitoring and policies that improve access to treatment, ensuring broad protection of children's oral health.
