Burnout can be a b*tch..
And I used to fight it, like sooo hard.
Pushing through the exhaustion, forcing myself into “productivity” and convincing myself I just “needed more discipline” 🫠
And when I did “rest” it was binging Netflix or ordering takeout .. but that wasn’t rest, it was actually just furthering my state of disconnection, escape & avoidance.
Bc my body never actually felt safe enough to release the stress (that was causing burn 🔥 out in the first place), much less to recharge..
Until I learned burnout is just my nervous system screaming for safety…
Safety to slow down, to reprioritize, to say no..
See, real rest isn’t passive, it’s being in deep presence with ourselves 🤍
It’s turning down the noise, stepping into nature, and giving the body a hot sec to exhale.
So now instead of “just gotta push thru” 🙀
I, in fact, do the exact opposite..
I unplug, lay on the earth, focus on real foods, and honestly just lay TF down and listen to my body.
Real rest brings us back, to safety, to softness, and most importantly, to ourselves.
Keep going, you got this.
