Ayahuasca in darkness. 🌑
Tatiana shares a teaching from the Ashaninka tradition: Darkness and silence is a ritual of fear, but as a return to the place where all true listening begins. In the darkness and the quiet, there is nothing left to distract us from ourselves. No stories to hide behind. No performances. No masks.
Not all traditions practice this way. Many who sit with the plants do so in the daytime, or do so singing and dancing. This is not that.
Just breath, sensation, and the truth that rises when everything else is stripped away. It is in this kind of silence that we discover who we really are — not the version shaped by pressure or expectation, but the one that lives underneath.
And when that part of us is finally seen, it becomes the force that moves us forward… the root of our courage, our clarity, and our purpose.
This is one of the most profound learnings that Tatiana came too when she first began her practice with the plants. She was scared. She thought the devil was in the dark. So much was discovered and she has never been the same.
You don't ayahuasca to experience this. Through meditation it is no different. There is no greater teacher than the stillness that resides within you.
