National Bird Day was January 5, 2025! Comment below how you and your feathered friend celebrated the day.

If you missed it, don't worry! Every day is a great day to celebrate our birds. Here are a few ideas brought to you by The Avian Welfare Coalition:
1. Do your research to be educated about issues surrounding birds (articles can be found at the link below)
2. Spread the word to the people in your life
3. Support reputable bird rescues and sanctuaries
4. Take a trip to see parrots in their natural habitat and support conservation organizations working to protect birds in the wild
5. Don’t patronize stores that sell birds or that use them for display. Let them know why you are taking your business elsewhere
6. Watch a documentary on the wild bird trade
