The Scientific Symposium on Value-Based Healthcare will take place on September 27th in Brussels, bringing together researchers from various countries to discuss innovative strategies and identify opportunities for research collaboration in the areas of value-based health care, health economics, efficiency, and policy.
Professors from UFRGS and IATS researchers, Ana Paula Beck da Silva Etges and Carisi Anne Polanczyk, are behind the coordination of the symposium, as well as professors Brecht Cardoen and Filip Roodhooft, from Vlerick Business School and KU Leuven, Belgium.
Three main themes will be addressed throughout the Symposium:
▪️ Implementation of value-based strategies and integrated care units in universal health systems
▪️ Value-based purchasing strategies and the use of digital solutions to manage integrated care pathways
▪️ Use of the Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing (TDABC) costing method for measuring costs and establishing value-based reimbursement strategies
During the symposium, speakers will share ongoing research projects in different countries, followed by discussions on new opportunities for collaboration. At the end, a paper will be written to formalize the researchers' commitment to scientific advancement in the field of value-based healthcare strategies.
Participants will be individually invited to the event based on their scientific contributions and experience in the field.
