Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Winter School of Fascial Anatomy, surrounded by experts from 21 different nations and some of the world’s leading names in fascia research! 🌍
Even more special, I was there with my dear friend and fellow Brazilian, , who presented her groundbreaking research on manual therapy! 🙌
The amount of knowledge shared throughout this week was absolutely incredible. The exchanges we had with professionals from diverse fields, all united by a shared passion for fascia, were truly inspiring.
The key takeaway: We now understand fascia’s structure and function more than ever before, but there’s still so much more to discover. The work isn’t done yet—we need to keep piecing the puzzle together! 🧩
Some ask me why I go to events like this, especially as a clinician working hands-on with clients every day. The answer is simple: We must bridge the gap between science and clinical practice.
For me, understanding why I get the results I do with my clients—whether through manual therapy or specific exercises to alleviate pain and movement dysfunction—is essential. We MUST be precise, responsible, and respectful when working with people’s bodies. After all, we’re dealing with living, responsive tissue that reacts to every stimulus we apply. 💪
This community is more than just colleagues—it’s a family that fascia brought into my life. ❤️
