We all experience it..not being able to fall asleep, waking up periodically or just not feeling rested. Sleeplessness can be a characteristic of a disturbance in your mental health. Practicing sleep meditation can aid in obtaining a restful sleep. Remember if this is an ongoing issues, please make an appt with you P*P to assess further.
For now, I am sharing one of the most popular videos I send my clients as sometimes people just have a hard time shutting their minds down. Get comfortable, take some deep breaths and tune in.

I love this list because we tend to have a limited word vocabulary defining ourselves. Try an experiment and choose one word from this list a week and list how you were for example "engaging" in your life with situations and others. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with a list matching your word, but don't give up...even if you list one thing as it is the foundation of building your self-worth. Okay..so let's get started! Share your words below and what you came up with if you would like. Please share this post with friends/family who might need a little self empowerment.

Ever say "I'm sorry" to everything? When one says "I'm sorry" for everything it can creat a dialog in your mind that is repetitive and after awhile can effect your confidence levels and overall presence. Stop over-apologizing!
Here are some things you can do:
1. Stop and think before you apologize and rethink the situation and is there a need to say "I'm sorry?" Also try to reword what is going on .
2.Choice intentional words and phrases
3. Begin small habit changes. Set up clear boundaries and learn to say no.

Think about a an area in your life or person you are constantly apologizing to and begin to use the above.

April is Alcohol awareness month.
If you or a friend or family member are struggling please reach out for a free alcohol assessment or just to chat. If you are still not sure alcohol consumption is a potential problem please have a peak at this article from the Mayo Clinic:

Unhealthy alcohol use ranges from mild to severe, including alcoholism and binge drinking, putting health and safety at risk. Early treatment is important.
