“No wisdom without poison.”

This weekend, we leaned into the truth that growth is rarely born from comfort. In Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, the very things that challenge us — discomfort, doubt, grief, ego — become the medicine. The poison transforms into clarity. The resistance becomes resilience.

Through breathwork, mindful movement, and contemplative practice, we didn’t bypass the hard things — we met them. Sat with them. Breathed through them. And in doing so, discovered strength we didn’t know we carried.

There is no awakening without friction.

No compassion without pain.

Grateful for a community willing to do the deep work and joining me in this new adventure.

We are honoured to host James H. Bae, DACM, L.Ac — doctor of Chinese medicine, author, and one of the few international specialists authorized to teach traditional Tibetan yoga.

This two-class workshop introduces rare subtle breath, movement, and meditation practices uniquely suited to fostering resilience, mental wellbeing, and longevity.

Participants will explore:
• Yogic movement systems for self-care & rejuvenation
• Subtle breath practices
• Trauma-informed mind–body healing applications
• Meditation & emotional healing

A rare Tibetan Yoga workshop with Dr. James H. Bae is coming to Nassau — with limited spaces available at Viva Physio & Wellness.

Tibetan Yoga includes subtle breath, movement, and meditation practices uniquely suited to fostering resilience, mental wellbeing, and longevity. In this two-class workshop, participants will explore how these mind–body disciplines support embodied mindfulness and meditation, while also addressing healing at subtle energetic and emotional levels and promoting nervous system regulation.

Led by Dr. James H. Bae (DACM, L.Ac) — one of the few international specialists in these yogas — the workshop will also offer insight into trauma, anxiety, depression, and their relationship to chronic illness.

Perimenopause isn’t just about hormones — it’s about your nervous system too. As a pelvic health therapist, I help women with many bladder, bowel and sexual health related pelvic floor issues.

As estrogen fluctuates, many women spend more time stuck in sympathetic (fight-or-flight) mode, which can show up as poor sleep, anxiety, hot flashes, pelvic tension, fatigue, and mood changes.

The magic happens when we intentionally support the parasympathetic nervous system — your body’s rest, digest, and restore state.
