❤️Thanks Dr John Dillett in the NEWS 👏 - “Consultant psychiatrist Dr. John Dillett advises people to be honest with themselves.” 🙏

“Be honest 🫶with yourself and with where you are in your life. ✅If you’re ambitious 👊and focused on building your career, it may be difficult to have a relationship with someone who is not 😢pursuing similar objectives. There needs to be an understanding of who both people are, 🫶and an acceptance of if people are willing to sacrifice or not. ✅In a relationship, you have to talk about difficulties 🚨that people will have in any life, such as what happens if one of us loses our job, 👌if a relative becomes ill, 😢how does that affect the dynamics of a relationship,” 😱he said.

Dillett said people should always remember that at the beginning of a relationship that things are simple. 🥰And that over ensuing years as people get older that it becomes more complicated 🙃and expectations become more significant.😚

“Just be prepared to think about those things 😇and have an understanding of how the person is going to react and respond to those scenarios in life,” 🥹he said. “You’d be surprised how many couples have not had conversations about finances💵, spirituality, and even academic pursuits. Only when they’re in the middle of those dynamics is when they communicate, which may be too late because it’s difficult to find compromise. 🎇With early planning, preparation and discussion, you’d have a basis to work with.”👦🏻👩🏾‍🦱
