Happy belated mother's day to ALL the moms and moms to be. MENTAL HEALTH BAHAMAS is happy to announce that we will be back up and running fully again. Thank you to all that continued to follow us. I hope and pray that what we discuss here will me helpful and educational to all.

Good morning.
Don't let anyone ruin your day. The beginning of your day can determine your mode for the whole day. Try to eat a healthy breakfast, get a walk in there before you go about your usual routine.

Did you know that you can also ruin your day?
Yes you can. Simply thinking negative can ruin your day.
FOR EXAMPLE. " SMT i know this man won't give me this promotion. Wow just wow why it had to rain on the day my car is down?" 🙁😡🤬⛈️⛈️⛈️
THE POSITIVE WAY BUT NOT OVERLY CONFIDENT. " I do hope Mr. Someone gives me that promotion but if he don't there's always next time. O wow it's raining well today will be nice and cool." 😎😎☔🌦️🌈
The way you think determines how well your day will go. Remember you control you.

DEPRESSION CAN KILL.

Being depressed without anyone to talk to is even more depressing. It is for numerous of reasons. For one, there's the fear of being mocked or judge by the ones you talk to. Secondly the question "how can I start to open up without coming of as weak?" Is constantly on most depressed people mind.

Yes I know it's stressful but you need someone to talk to. If you can't afford a therapist try speaking with a pastor, a close friend, a trusted family member.
I deal with depression by venting to my voice recorder then on good days I listen to them and send myself a positive uplifting message to listen to on my bad days.
Take time to relax and pamper yourself. You'll be surprise at how a simple walk or a cup of your favourite coffee or tea can relax you and put you in a positive mode.
Identify the source of your depression. Is there a way that you can positively better the situation? If so try to do it. Remember your mental health is just as important as your physical health...
