It’s Pet Travel Safety Day!

When traveling with your pet, you should always have the correct documents so you don’t have any issues when coming or leaving The Bahamas.

We are always happy to assist clients by obtaining the necessary documents and medical reports.

We are happy to assist your pets transportation to any destination in the world.

However, we recommend that you do further research into the countries where you are taking your pets. Your pet may need vaccines to enter, or there may be a mandatory quarantine period that could disrupt your vacation/trip.

We provide a 24/7 consultation for pet travel, please send your request or call if you are in an emergency situation.

Noodle stopped by for his second round of vaccines, and of course he made everyone’s day while he was here!

Vaccines are a crucial part of keeping your pets healthy and protected from preventable diseases. Staying up to date helps keep your pet safe, and protects other pets in our community too.

Keep an eye out for our vaccine reminders, and if you’re unsure whether your pet is due, give us a call or stop by, we’re always happy to help!

This sweet male dog was found wandering in the Caves Village area of Nassau. He is not microchipped and not neutered, and we’re hoping to locate his family (if he has one) as soon as possible.

He’s friendly, gentle, and clearly a very good boy.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. McKenzie to the Caves Village Veterinary Hospital team! Born in The Bahamas and proudly Bahamian-Canadian, she completed her DVM at St. George’s University and Louisiana State University and many of you may already know her from her years with us as a Vet Assistant since 2021.

Her passions include cardiology, neurology, and all things medicine and surgery. When she’s not caring for animals, she loves staying active and enjoying the outdoors.

We’re so excited to have her back as our newest Veterinarian and can’t wait for you and your pets to meet her!
