On January 5, 2026, the Brightness Action Initiative officially launched at Princess Margaret Hospital, ushering in a new era of restored sight and renewed hope for Bahamians across New Providence and the Family Islands.

Through an international partnership launched in 2024, Bahamians are receiving free cataract surgeries and critical vision care at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Starting June 2026, more than 200 procedures are set to take place, bringing clearer vision and renewed independence to patients from New Providence and the Family Islands.
