Gangthok Primary Health Centre Welcome to Official Page of Gangthok Primary Health Centre Gangthok PHC was established in 2013. It is one of the remote PHC under Samtse Dzongkhag.

Gangthok Primary Health Centre (PHC) is located under Namgaycholing Gewog, Samtse Dzongkhag and it covers 9 major villages i.e Sa-Tsangsa, Gyalposhing, Chhodarling, Chhunagang, Gangthok, Tsholingkhar, Sernyagang, Tshosarling and Tshachhugang villages under the Gewog. It has 3 Out Reach Clinics (ORC) at Sa-Tsangsa, Tshachhugang, and Chhodarling village. The PHC is supported by 5 Village Health Work

ers (VHWs) from Tshachhugang, Chhodarling, Sernyagang, Sa-Tsangsa and Gyalposhing village. There are total of 460 households under the PHC and total population of 1599 with 825 males and 774 females and some of the vulnerable population under the PHC includes elderly population of 189 and 125 children under 5 years as per Annual Health Survey, 2023. The PHC is connected with only feeder (farm) road about 15 km from Gewog Centre. PHC catchment area has four ECCD with one primary school. Currently, PHC is not connected with broadband internet facilities.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Ability Bhutan Society Samtse, for your incredible support in supplying hearing aids/devices to the needy population.
A total of 22 hearing devices were supplied. The types of devices supplied are as follows;
1. BTE(P): 6 numbers
2. BTE(SP): 1 number
3. V-Cord Body; 10 number
4.. S-Cord Body; 5 number
We would like to thank you for your dedication to ensure that our people now have access to essential hearing aids, which will enable the individuals to reconnect with loved ones and experience a renewed sense of independence and quality of life. Your commitment to improve the lives of those with hearing loss is truly inspiration.

Successfully conducted Sensitization on Accelerated Mother and Child Health Program (AMCHP) to the LG members and relevant stockholders.
AMCHP; is an initiative for 1000 Golden Days, out of 11 comprehensive MCH packages, this project supports 2 MCH components - Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) through sensitization, awareness and education. AMCHP was launched coinciding with HM Birth Anniversary by Health Minister and will be implemented throughout the country.
AIM-
•Enhance utilization of Maternal, Neonatal, Child health and Nutrition Services
BENEFICIARIES-
• Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) who are socially and economically vulnerable
CRITERIA-
• Confirmed Pregnant
• Child below 24 months
• Socially and economically vulnerable
• Willing to participate in the program
The Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) willing to participate in the program must register with the nearest Health Facility. The PLW will be registered to the Tracking Information System (TIS) which will determine their eligibility based on socio-demographic information that has 19 questions in the system. TIS is based on criteria of 19 questions extracted from Bhutan Living Standard, 2020 and every question has a weightage that calculates whether PLW is eligible or not for the Conditional Cash Transfer of Nu. 1500/- on monthly basis.
PLEASE note that this is not an encouraging factor by giving monetary incentive to avail the health services. It is supporting to improve the health of our mother and child by getting services on time.
Therefore, anyone who falls under the criteria is encouraged to register with the nearest Health Facility but your registration is on your voluntary.

We advise all the public to visit the nearest Health Facility if you or anyone in your family is experiencing Fever (chill), headache, abdomen pain, nausea and vomiting, immediately. Early detection can help prevent complications from malaria infection.
