On 6th June, hospital staff attended a sensitization session covering three key topics: the HR and Grievance Module, led by the Officiating ADM; the MHPC system, presented by the MHPC Focal Person; and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), conducted by the HA. The session aimed to enhance staff knowledge and ensure they are updated with the latest developments in these areas.

2nd June in Bhutan is celebrated as Social Forestry Day and also marks the Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. The day is a tribute to His Majesty’s visionary leadership and his deep commitment to environmental conservation, which continues to inspire Bhutan’s efforts in sustainability and Gross National Happiness.

As part of the national observance, the hospital organized a cleaning campaign in and around its premises to commemorate the day.
In line with its ongoing environmental initiatives, the hospital also observes the 2nd day of every month as Zero Waste Hour by conducting regular cleaning campaigns to promote cleanliness and reduce waste.

A day-long Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on Infection Control and Medical Waste Management was successfully conducted today. The session also covered additional topics such as Multidrug-Resistant (MDR) organisms, Surgical Site Infection (SSI), and a brief overview of forensic practices.

The training was interactive, featuring pre and post-tests, demonstrations, and hands-on practical sessions. Organized by the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, the CME aimed to enhance staff knowledge and reinforce the importance of effective infection control and waste management in healthcare settings.

Hospital for the Community

As part of our ongoing commitment to serve and support our community, several staff members from our hospital volunteered their time and effort to assist in the construction of a house in Ngalung, Bartsham.
In addition to their physical support, the hospital staffs collectively contributed Nu. 8,983 towards the project.

This heartfelt act of kindness reflects our strong dedication to uplifting and standing by our community in times of need.

Ongoing Work: Hospital Roof Painting Project

The hospital, with support from the Trashigang General Hospital Administration, has commenced a much-needed roof painting initiative. This project is being undertaken by our dedicated non-clinical staff, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations while enhancing the facility's upkeep.

On 15th March, we conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session focusing on Quality Assurance, Infection Control, and Medical Waste Management. The event aimed to:
✅ Train new staff on critical protocols.
✅ Refresh existing staffs on the importance of these practices for patient and staff safety.

With generous support from Trashigang General Hospital Administration, the session emphasized practical strategies to maintain high standards in healthcare delivery.

The CME was a great success, fostering collaboration and reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
