It branched out from Karma Tshongkhang in 2010 as per the Drug Regulatory Authority’s regulations. Having many years of prior experience as the official agent and distributor of various medical products in the country, It was only a matter of re-aligning the business goals with the overall, larger priorities of the health sector in the country to meet the emerging medical health challenges and nee
ds. The venture was primarily inspired by the importance laid on the free health care services in the country by Bhutan’s farsighted monarchs. As a private business with a strong social mandate, it was KPMS’s hope to play a role in the health care system by providing a sustained and continuous flow of medical and pharmaceutical products. KPMS had both the experience and the expertise to initiate this business and extend its support to the health sector. KPMS focuses on human and veterinary medical products like pharmaceutical drugs & vaccines, medical equipment & instruments, laboratory reagents, chemicals & glasswares, and medical consumables, among others.
