🌱 Hydroponic Farming Training Successfully Concluded!🌱

Bhutan Institute of Wellbeing proudly wrapped up a transformative one-day theoretical training on initiating hydroponic farming! 🌿✨
Participants explored the Dutch Bucket System in a polyhouse setup, gaining essential insights into launching a hydroponic farming venture back home. This training equips residential clients with practical skills, supporting their reintegration journey and fostering a meaningful life.
💡 On behalf of our residential clients, we extend heartfelt gratitude to Bhutan Foundation for funding this initiative and express deep appreciation to the promoter & founder of Bhutan Hydroponic for sharing invaluable expertise and experience in establishing a hydroponic farm.

The Bhutan Institute of Wellbeing successfully concluded a 4-day hands-on training program in Sh*take mushroom farming, equipping residential clients with essential skills to launch their own ventures.
This immersive training covered every aspect of setting up a mushroom farm, ensuring participants gain practical knowledge that will aid their reintegration journey and support a meaningful livelihood.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bhutan Foundation for their generous funding and to the National Mushroom Center for their expert guidance in this transformative process.

A Landmark Moment for Youth Empowerment in Bhutan!

The Bhutan Institute of Wellbeing (BIW), a pioneering center for treatment and rehabilitation in Bhutan, was honored to host a consultation meeting with esteemed delegates from the National Council of Bhutan. Led by Hon'ble Committee Chair Dasho Tshering, and accompanied by Deputy Chair Dasho Phub Dorji and Dasho Rinzin Namgyal, the visit marked a significant step in addressing the urgent issue of Youth and Substance Abuse in the country.

Today, our BIW family had the honor of welcoming Venerable "Drupoen" of Tshaluney for an enriching session of profound spiritual teachings and transformative practices. Through **བྱབས་ཁྲུས (Anointment)** and **བཀའ་བསྒོ (Empowerment)**, the session provided a unique blend of mindfulness and empowerment, inspiring inner strength and peace on the path to recovery.

Coinciding with the 80th Monthly Community Meeting (MCM), the Institute is delighted to officially welcome Mr. Jamyang Tashi as our new Counselor. The Director marked this special occasion by offering a heartfelt "Tashi Khadhar" ceremony.

💡Mr. Jamyang Tashi
Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Madras University, Mr. Jamyang brings invaluable experience as a dedicated volunteer at the Happiness Center in Phuentsholing. His selection through a rigorous interview process on 10th March, 2025, is a testament to his exceptional skills and passion for service.

🌱 Empowering Lives Through Sustainable Recovery🌱

As part of the *Integrated Reintegration and Skill Development Program for Sustainable Recovery of Individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUDs)*, a dedicated team of our Project and Communication Officers recently visited the Institute to assess the project's progress.

📍 Highlights from the Visit:
🔹 Exploration of hydroponic farming and mushroom farming activities, showcasing innovative approaches to recovery and skill-building.
🔹 Collection of inspiring testimonials from two residential SUDs via rapid video interviews, capturing the transformative impact of the program.

This vital initiative is made possible by the generous support of the **Bhutan Foundation's Small Grant Project**. We remain deeply grateful for their unwavering guidance and timely follow-ups that ensure the program's success.
