Being stressed out might put you at greater risk of stroke.
If you have ever wondered if stress is associated with a stroke, the answer is unfortunately, yes as there has been mounting evidence exploring stress as a risk factor for stroke. In fact, stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is blocked or reduced. As a result, stroke can sometimes cause temporary or permanent disabilities. To screening for stroke, carotid ultrasound uses sound waves to create detailed images of the inside of the carotid arteries in the neck, showing buildup of fatty deposits and blood flow in the carotid arteries. Once the risk of stroke is detected, an effective treatment can be provided in a timely manner.
