Today begins 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, focusing on stopping Digital Violence Against Women & Girls.

Real talk 🗣: many men who harass, threaten, or shame women and girls online are not “evil monsters.”
Many are hurting, angry, lonely, or stuck in toxic ideas of what it means to be a man.
That pain doesn’t excuse the harm — but it does give us a place to start.

Ending digital violence isn’t just about calling out bad behaviour.
It’s also about reaching in — man to man — and saying:
“Your struggle is real. But hurting women online won’t fix it. Let’s talk. Let’s get help. Real strength is having the courage to heal, not the power to harm.”

This month, let’s do two things at once:
- Stand firmly with every woman and girl facing online abuse.
- Offer every man who’s spiralling a hand up — before his pain turns into someone else’s trauma.
