Today, we join the nation in honoring the life and legacy of former President Festus Gontebanye Mogae. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ผ

A leader remembered for his wisdom, humility, service and commitment to the people of Botswana.

May his legacy continue to inspire generations to lead with integrity, compassion and courage.

As we continue observing Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, we pause to acknowledge the emotional realities many mothers quietly carry every day.

Motherhood changes everything: the body, the mind, the emotions, the nervous system and even identity itself.

Some mothers are healing while nurturing others.
Some are overwhelmed.
Some are exhausted.
Some are grieving who they were before motherhood.
Some simply need to be held too.

We remind every mother:

We are living in a time that calls for more grace, more patience and more kindness toward one another.

Behind many smiles are silent battles: emotional pain, financial pressure, relationship strain, unresolved trauma, exhaustion and quiet thoughts people often do not speak about.

Mental health is no longer a distant conversation. It is here, in our homes, workplaces, families, friendships and communities.

This season reminds us that being human requires compassion. A kind word matters. Checking on someone matters. Listening without judgment matters.

Sometimes what a person needs most is not advice but safety, understanding and space to breathe.

As conversations around mental health continue to grow, may we choose empathy over criticism, gentleness over harshness and support over silence.
