Vision Optical Centre is more than just an optometric practice — it is a legacy of excellence, service, and genuine care for the community.

Founded in 1985 by Ismail Saloojee, Vision Optical Centre has been serving generations with trusted, professional eye care. In 2011, his son Ziyaad Saloojee joined the practice after graduating, continuing this proud family legacy with the same values, precision, and passion.

Outside of the practice, Ziyaad is an avid fisherman — a passion that reflects his patience, focus, and appreciation for balance. Whether he’s caring for patients or spending time out on the water, he brings the same calm precision and dedication to everything he does, managing to balance his professional calling with the hobbies that ground and inspire him.

Today, the practice is run by two exceptional professionals, known for their depth of knowledge, unmatched professionalism, and outstanding patient care.

Beyond the consulting room, Vision Optical Centre is deeply committed to giving back. The practice actively runs outreach programmes servicing villages in and out of Gaborone, extending quality eye care to communities with limited access. In addition, free school screening programmes are held annually, helping identify vision problems early and supporting children’s learning and development.
