Teemane Oratory Academy is proud to announce that we will be hosting the trials for the BOTSWANA NATIONAL SCHOOLS DEBATE TEAM 🇧🇼✨

The selected individuals will have the honour of representing Botswana at the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC), scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 14th – 24th July 2026 🌍🗣️

This is a historic opportunity for young debaters to rise, compete on the global stage, and carry the Botswana flag with excellence, intellect, and pride.

More information regarding eligibility, trial dates, venues, and registration will be shared in the coming week.

As we celebrate the joy, love, and spirit of Christmas, Teemane Oratory Academy extends warm festive wishes to all our learners, parents, partners and supporters.

In the true spirit of giving and gratitude, we were honored to join hands with Destination Imagination Botswana to host a Christmas lunch and party for students who have been part of our programs throughout the year. It was a beautiful moment of celebration, reflecting on growth, creativity, learning, and the strong community we continue to build together.

We are grateful for a year filled with purpose, partnerships, and impact. As we close the year, we remain committed to nurturing confident thinkers, speakers, and problem solvers.

Teemane Oratory Academy proudly hosted our partners from in Zimbabwe, reaffirming our commitment to regional collaboration and youth empowerment through oratory.

Teemane Oratory Academy is immensely proud to have been part of the University of Botswana_Official delegation that represented the University at the 2025 Pan African Universities Debate Championship (PAUDC),hosted by Wits - University of the Witwatersrand

Teemane Oratory Academy was represented by Ame Tseleng, Ruby Njonde, and Tshiamo Badubi who delivered an outstanding performance on one of Africa’s most competitive debating and public speaking stages.

Ame Tseleng and Ruby Njonde broke to the Quarter Finals of the public speaking category. Ruby Njonde then advanced to the Finals, finishing an impressive 9th out of over 120 participants from top universities across Africa.

In addition to the exceptional performances on the public speaking stage, Tshiamo Badubi was elected Director of Partnerships & Sponsorships for the Pan African Universities Debate Council while Ame Tseleng was also elected Publicity Secretary for the Pan African Universities Debate Council.

This marks an exceptional performance for the Teemane team and reflects the Academy’s commitment to excellence in oratory, leadership, and continental engagement.

👏🏽 Congratulations to the team for flying the academy and the country’s flag high and making Teemane Oratory Academy and the University of Botswana proud at PAUDC 2025.

On the 11th of October, the University of Botswana was transformed into a haven of rhythm, emotion, and connection as Teemane Oratory Academy hosted its Poetry Night — an evening that reminded us of the true power of words. 💭🔥

Through poetry, we didn’t just perform , we built community.
Each verse, each line, and each heartfelt story became a thread weaving people together in empathy, understanding, and shared purpose. 💬🤝

The stage is set, the mic is waiting, and the vibe is strictly Old School! This Saturday, 11th October 2025, from 6PM to 10PM, join us at the Business Block Foyer at the University of Botswana for a night of poetry, rhythm, and nostalgia like no other.

Expect soul-stirring performances, old school beats, and a vibe that will take you back while keeping you rooted in the present. Snacks and refreshments will be available to keep the energy flowing, and yes it’s absolutely free!

Come dressed in your best old school fit, bring your crew, and let’s share an evening of words, music, and vibes
